I bought this sink strainer as I was fed up of the tea strainer type strainers which were always getting clogged with food waste and were difficult to clean. Also once the tea strainer type strainer gets clogged, waste water doesn't drain and accumulates in the kitchen sinkNo such problems of clogging seen with this strainer. If you empty it out in the garbage bin, its instantly clean.Only negative is cost - I think the sellers are charging a bit of a premium price for it
