HOT HOT HOT! (not in a good way either)
This is a combined review of the Easy LZ-A3s (black) and DQSM D2002 (also known as D2). I originally ordered the DQSM D2002 from Easy, and after about a two week wait, I received them in the mail. I eagerly ran to get what has been a very hyped hybrid. After I unwrapped and got them in my ears, I was disappointed. There was channel imbalance and the highs were so HOT, the vast, and I mean VAST soundstage and instrument separation were simply overpowered. I haven't heard treble this sharp since my old JVC carbon tube earphones. When I removed the white filter, I tried it with the bass filter. First thing I noticed, because it fell out on to my leg, was a miniscule metal tube. When i looked inside the earphone, was that the sound tube from the balanced armature had broken off. This was what was causing channel imbalance? i burned the earphones in while I contacted Easy about this issue. Easy Earphone customer service (Fella named Hulang was my CSA), and I sent him pictures and explained what I experienced. he was very gracious and helpful, and said he would immediately send a replacement (I only sent back the earphones themselves). Now in that time, I burned in the earphones aggressively, and found the highs didn't smooth out. Still sharp and hot. Though the timbre was amazing, the bass very quick and reactive (if a bit light), and the note weight very natural, the whole presentation was ruined IMO by the hissing sharpness of the treble. No tip rolling (Spiral Dots, Spinfits, Sennheiser IE80, UE600 silicone) alleviated the hot treble. I decided I didn't like the sound signature, so i contacted Hulang and asked if i could try the LZ-A3s instead? He immediately agreed, and send out a pair of LZ-A3s. I received them, and OOTB, with the stock tips, they were dull and lifeless. Dark and claustrophobic. My heart sank. Then i remembered I got to keep my D2002 cable!! I switched from the stock cable to the D2002 cable an it was like heaven opened up to my ears! Now we had an airy, if slightly warmish ss, with deep responsive bass, some lovely mids, and treble that was sweet and clear, without much sharpness at all. Slightly rolled off, but nothing like the Tenore or E80 roll off. The timbre is natural and has good weight. Not as weighty as the D2002, but still top class. Same with the soundstage. It's got great height, decent width, and excellent instrument separation. It's the type of sound sig I enjoy. I'm going to burn these in some more, and look forward to it's maturing along the way. The LZ-A3a is an excellent hybrid, which competes alongside the Dunu DN2000j, D2002, LZ-A2, and Sony H3. Actually, the sound signature reminds me a lot of the H3. It has that sweet, warm sound, but just a bit less bass impact and sub bass slam. Thanks Easy! Thanks Hulang! I'm a satisfied customer.

Who needs expansive headphones when you can have so much sound for so little money
Not just the price is insane, these are also insanely good headphones. I was ever so skeptical about burn in but these really sing after a few hours of playing them on loud volume and just letting them settle in. Full bodied tight and clear bass which doesn't intrude into the sweet every so slightly recessed mids followed by some sweet ever so slightly hot treble.. you won't care about these nitpicks because their sound will just draw you into the music.. you will love them.

Hurry up and get a pair.
You close your eyes and you are walking into the music. It is that good. Can not beat this sub $200 iem. The bass, separation, immersive experience. I am speechless.

This is a giant killer. I plan to write an in-depth review on these IEM's but don't doubt my word on the phenomenal sound these produce.
