Excellent amp for the money
Excellent amp for the money. I installed it in my 2003 GMC Sierra on two power bass 12's under the seat. Plenty power for my subs.8 I have the gain knob on about 4. That's about all the subs can take..... Sounds excellent ... I'm very satisfied.... After doing the review the amplifier started smoking after four days. Sent it back and now I have another one In The way. Probably just a manufacturer defect.

High quality
Ordered the audiopipe apmi, got sent the apmn witch is a newer model! Definitely wasnt expecting that. Super happy with the amp out performs my taramps hd3k and holds better voltage. Highly recommend. Can not go wrong for the price of these amazing little amps.

Gets a little hot but works great!
This is the perfect budget amp for a beginner or expert. I drive blasting my 2 15” skar dvr’s wired to 1 ohm loud enough to rattle my the roof for 40-60 minutes straight daily and this amp has never shut off once.I will say the amp does get pretty hot pretty quick but performs fine as long as it is mounted in a well ventilated space. Also, 4 gauge or lower ofc wire is a must to achieve the best results with this amp, along with proper installation. Doing the install cheaply and improperly will cause the amp to not work well. This is why you see Many bad reviews about them.

Great Value amp
Installed this amp to power two Cerwin Vega Vpro124D (750w RMS each) in ported enclosures. Amp gives solid, clean power, not a hit of distortion at higher volumes. Haven't used it for long periods yet, but after 30-45 minutes of hard hitting bass, amp is only moderately warm to the touch. Controls are self explanatory, well positioned on the amp, easy to use. Included volume knob works well, controls actual volume instead of bass boost, which is a great thing.Lots of amp for the money with this unit. Definitely wins the bang for the buck award, IMO. Many folks have tested the actual output and it's very near the 1400 W/ 1ohm mono spec. This is about the largest amp I could install without having to run obscene wire sizes, extra batteries, high capacity alternator, capacitors and all that jazz. It draws a lot of power, dims my lights to about half brightness on sustained bass notes. Amp stays reasonably cool, so it must have good efficiency, especially so given its small size. Two negatives that are worth mentioning: The sensitivity (gain control) could be a bit higher. I'm at max and need just a little bit more to even the bass volume out with the factory Bose amp (mids and highs.) It should work fine with most setups however, I just need to get a lower-level signal for my Bose amp and it would work fine. The power and ground inputs are too small, such that they will not accept a 4 gauge adapter. I am running parallel 4-gauge power wires, and intended to use a 0 gauge to 4-gauge adapter to get both wires to fit. That SHOULD work as the amp manual says it has a 4 gauge input-- but it's just a hair too small. I had to grind the adapter down to a bit smaller diameter to get it to fit. This last thing is splitting hairs as most amps are like this, but the power and ground connections are too close together. You can obviously get the wires in no problem, but they are too close to one another in my opinion.Downright great amp for the money-- clean power, stays cool, nice small form factor. I'd definitely buy another.

Perfect amp for my project.
I bought this amp for my build for its versatility. Right now i only have one sub the audiopipe bd2 12 in a ported box. Before i had this amp i only had i little 4 channel amp not even putting out half the rms of my sub. “I will use that amp in the future when i upgrade my highs”. Dont buy cheap wiring kits either the rca leads broke off in my brand new amp now i have to get them out of it for when I upgrade my highs can anyone help with that? Anyways. I then borrowed a amp from my dad that put out a litte more power to my sub a 1200 watt max 2 channel amp but i still needed more. I did my research and planned for my future projects. Im going to get another bd2 real soon so my sub can have a friend because this amp does some serious work putting out almost 940 watts rms at 2 ohms its working my 750 watt rms sub. I thought i had the gain down low then I noticed a smell make sure you’re careful this amp will do more than its rating i feel like. It took a couple days to tune by ear and im not sure about the subsonic filters and stuff but hey I’ll figure it out. I plan to get another bd2 and they will match this amp @1500 watts rms! I fell in love with the speaker before i even heard its full potential. I fell in love with the amp before i even plugged it in. Audiopipe for the win guys and I’ll even update my system and add pictures later.UPDATE!!! I NOW HAVE THIS POWERING A SKAR VXF 12 1500 RMS SUBWOOFER AND IT SLAMS IM DEFINITELY GETTING ANOTHER TO STRAP THEM WHEN I GET ANOTHER SUB!

Amazing value
This amp is a massive value dyno tested around 1400 clean watts at 1 ohm, thats under 9 cents per watt. I only need 500 watts at 2 ohm, so this is more than enough for my needs. For the low price you also get a bass knob and variable bass boost frequency - which isn't as common as it should be. Most amps are hard set around 45hz which is pretty useless, but setting it at 30hz is a very nice feature.

Had this amp hooked up to two TSFA120 Shallow Mount 12' dual subwoofers from Audiopipe and after being professionally installed, this amp started smoking after 15 minutes of use. I immediately returned and received my full refund within 3-4 business days. Would not buy this amp again. May have been a possible factory default but it had a QC sticker on the amp and amp board. Buyer beware.
