Classic Frogg Toggs style, taped seams, no pockets, decent value
The family has owned two of the traditional Frogg Toggs rain suits for over 20 years. After this period I just realized the one that was no longer "waterproof" actually did not have taped seams. We bought that one at a local big box store. The other was bought, if I recall, at Gander Mountain and does have taped seams. It is still waterproof for short term wear. The one we just purchased at Amazon does have taped seams. It also has a removable hood -- a feature I don't really like since these, if you inadvertently twist something or are careless in putting it on, will let rain in. What I do like is that the type and quality of the material is similar to that of 20 years ago and I expect this suit to last at least 10+ years with careful, light wear. Classic Frogg Toggs are designed to be lightweight, moderately durable rain wear that will definitely keep you dry in short downpours or all day drizzle. I am of the opinion that they are NOT for wearing in an outdoor backpacking, tree cutting, construction, or brush clearing type of situation since they lack the kind of durability for such purpose. I have purchased other rain wear for that purpose but you will be paying 2-3+ times more than the $41 we paid for this suit. We purchased the mens medium size for my wife who would normally wear a womens large and it fits great. The zipper is not super heavy duty but is adequate for the material of the suit. We really like the appearance of the blue top and black pants combination we ordered.

100% Waterproof
Delivered in two days, rather good quality for the price. For those around my size ( 5’9.5 and 170lbs with wider shoulders and bigger legs ) size medium fits me perfectly. Obviously there are more factors than that, but I figured it’s a bit of help if you need some sizing information. Sleeve length is perfect, jacket length overall is perfect. Pants are perfect length as well, snug fit on waist. Very comfortable, tested in a very large downpour over the last two days, I stayed completely dry. Material is a bit odd, mainly because I’ve never dealt with something like this, but it gets the job done great.

Good
I am very satisfied with this rain suit from FROGG TOGGS. As it is two-piece, it is very practical and easy to put on when it starts to rain. The jacket and pants offer good protection against water, and the adjustable hood is a very useful detail to keep the head protected. I like it especially because it is light and does not feel as heavy as other waterproof suits. I have found it very practical for outdoor activities such as fishing, camping and hiking. It also allows you to move quite freely.

Conquered A Windblown Snowy and Rainy Day .
7 hours of a windy day that the temps dropped like a rock and the precipitation changed from heavy wind blowing in sideways to snowflakes the size of quarters but also coming in sideways . When I left work it was in the upper 30s and I never got cold anywhere but my hands . I was wearing just lightweight cotton khakis and a long sleeve t shirt underneath because it was 80f when I got to work at 6am. The temps soon dropped quickly into the 50s within minutes as the front came through . I was outside in it for over 7 hours and never got wet except my hands and face . My back got a little damp from the logo on my shirt holding in sweat but other than that I was bone dry . I was active pulling lumber most of the workday so the suit got put to a good test for durability as well as water resistance . To keep the crotch from tearing I've learned to pull up 1 leg a little before climbing onto my forklift. It stays plenty loose in the crotch that way . I've torn many a pair of pants, everything but sweats, learning that trick. I wasn't all that surprised at the water resistance but the wind block was VERY impressive . If I have a rub it's the tie for the hood . The hood is huge like it's made for hardhats but no quick lock so only tieing it into a bow kept the hood tight enough . That is VERY VERY difficult to do with soaked and frozen fingers and also made it come above my mouth in the front collar . This was disconcerting to say the least . I've got some old Locklaces quick locks that I'll try out soon. If not I'll find something as tieing in a bow isn't going to cut it . Anyway this suit more than paid for itself this week . Edit ; the lock lace quick locks did the trick for that issue . You've got to wear some sort of hat with the hood up unless you've got a head the size of an elephant or it'll cover your eyes from falling forward .

Exactly what I hoped it would be.
Most important thing: all the reviews saying these run large are correct. They're meant to be worn over clothes. I'm 6' 6" and 300 lbs (and no, it's not all muscle :o) ). I usually wear a 36" inseam and a 38" - 40" waist, and 2XL tall in shirts. I would normally have ordered the 2XL size, but I went with XL based on comments about sizing. XL turned out to be a nearly perfect fit. Fit: ~ The length of the pant legs is perfect. The waist-band is elastic with a draw-string, which I don't need because they're a snug (but not tight) fit. There are narrow velcro straps at the ankles to adjust the fit, which is great for bicycling. ~ The coat is almost as good a fit as the pants, but it could be just a skotch longer. Not a real problem, just a preference. The bottom of the coat also has a draw-string to help with the fit. The arms are just about the perfect length. ~ The hood is very large, possibly too large, especially if you're facing into the wind and not using the draw-strings to cinch it tight. It will fit most of the way over my bicycle helmet (and I have a large head, thus a large helmet). It's detachable. Construction: ~ There are no pockets on either the coat or pants. ~ The material really is like a reusable shopping back, but not at all flimsy. I don't think you'd have a problem with tearing unless you wear it around brambles or scrap metal or other snaggy stuff. I can see where piling might happen, and I'm pretty sure thistles would stick to it. ~ It's super lightweight. ~ I don't think it would be very packable. The material is a bit too stiff for that, not like nylon. This is more of a hang-up or fold-up kind of rainsuit. ~ It's very breathable. Aside from the excellent fit, this is what I was most excited about. I try to bike in all weather. That could be very cold rain, sweltering rain, or snow, depending on the season. Yesterday I rode in the rain both to and from work. It was around 40F (4C) in the morning and 50F (10C) in the evening, and it was very windy. I wore a short-sleeved button-up shirt and khakis underneath. I could feel the air moving against my skin and it kept me cool, but not too cool, and it kept the rain out 100%.

Good for wearing over heavy clothing but no pockets.
Ordered 3 brands of rainsuits with the intention of comparing and returning two: **1) Mens Waterproof Rainsuit With Hood SWISSWELL Black Large ($40), **2) Result Mens Heavyweight Waterproof Rain Suit (Jacket & Trouser Suit) (L) (Black) ($23), and **3) Frogg Toggs Men's All Sports Rain and Wind Suit, Black, Large ($40). In the end, chose Swisswell. Swisswell seemed to have the best fit, style, and functionality. **1 Swiswell’s fit over my clothing and have their own pockets (no pass through holes). The material seems as though it would absorb water but a quick test under the faucet proved otherwise. Not sure how well these will breathe but I’m confident they’ll keep my dry. The appearance, fit, and Velcro/drawstrings in all the right places made this the top choice of the three. However, I don’t care for the left handed zipper. Will update after use. **2) Results: very rubbery looking and tighter than the other two. If I’d liked this I would have re-ordered a size larger for sure. This one is fine for minimal use or if your budget is below the $40 price of the other two but it came in last place for preference with me. Difficult to get back into the original bag but the only one of the three tested that has it’s own storage bag. Has pass through slots for access to pockets in clothing underneath. Also has annoying left handed zipper. C’mon, get it right China. **3)Frogg Toggs were quite large and made of the reusable grocery bag material which was probably the most breathable of the three, but I didn’t like that it did not have pockets or pass through holes (to access pant pockets underneath). If I’m standing watching my daughter’s soccer game, I want pockets for my hands so pocketless top and bottom was a deal breaker for me. These were the best at putting on quickly over clothing. The removable hood was huge and I felt I could have fit a helmet underneath. Also only one of the three with right handed zipper operation (finally!) This was a close second and I knew primary use would be worn over heavier clothing it probably would have been the winner.

Works well enough in heavy rainfall. Brim mini. Size sufficient for even a day bag underneath.
Worked. Rained pretty heavy and I had to run from the beach awning back through a trail to the campground to get the car and retrieve the group I was with and I would say they are easy to throw on over clothes. There are no pockets but the pants are elastic so easy to get into my pants pockets for phone or keys. The hood was necessary to unroll and I was glad I had a baseball cap bc the brim of the hood is too short to block rain from going in the face. So a baseball cap you don't care about the brim getting soaked is better to wear under the hood. It was large so my day pack was able to fit underneath it and I was able to switch it under while continuing to hike bc the size is a good bit extra needed for underclothes or belongings. Zipper definitely needed and buttons were easy. Pants are large but did not totally cover shoes so I would need to get some separate shoe covers if longer time out in the rain. Or wear rain boots. I was hiking w 15% chance of so did the hiking shoes. I have the kids suit but didn't break it open bc they were already wet from the beach. I am confident the kids suit will be okay. Did not get ultra lite version bc other reviews said it was not sufficient for heavy rain and I would only use it for heavy rain scenario. This for me was sufficient. If it really was flood storm then idk. Nice thing is it dries out relatively quickly also. About 30min in very humid condition.

Good rain gear for the price.
My 2nd pair of Frogg Toggs. First pair lasted about 5 years. Sort of went bad after machine washing them. Won't do that again. Other b than that, good for the price.

Worth the cost
What I like most is that the rain coat is light weight. Though we pay a lot for shipping etc. it’s worth it.
