Canongate Books Consolations: The Solace, Nourishment and Underlying Meaning of Everyday Words

i received the book soaking wet and falling apart. the pouch on the outside was dry but the book itself was very wet.. the cover is falling apart and all the pages are half damaged by water.

This is a very thoughtful book even profound It requires patience and rereading. A good bedtime read. Each chapter bears repeating

Wow. This book is in my everyday pile. If you enjoy contemplation and deeper thinking this is a must have.

I bought the written and audio version (read by the author) to get an even better emotional understanding in the pronunciation of the words connected to their depth and meaning. Anyone interested in reflections about life, in going below the surface of your own being, in discovering yourself who you truly are, will love and embrace this outstanding book. It is a book for a lifetime, for many moments or circumstances, where 'consolations' are needed, where perspectives may differ and where, each time you pick it up, you discover something new. Thank you David Whyte for having put it all together so that it is accessible to the people of the world to appreciate and savour.
