Much better than a damp sponge
I’ve only just started soldering, so I wouldn’t say I’m an authority on the subject, but I found using a damp sponge difficult to keep the tip clean of my soldering iron. So I decided to buy this and it is so much better. I can see the difference after scrubbing in this brass wool ball, and because it’s from Weller then you know it’s definitely brass so it won’t damage your tips. I’ll certainly be buying more of these as this one wear out after use.

Good design, genuine brass
These do appear to be genuine brass (unlike many others), they are the right colour and are non magnetic. The silicon holder works really well.

It's good value and works perfectly
Good quality and does the job perfectly. I had previously bought a cheap unbranded one from Aliexpress and was not impressed. This Weller one is much better.

Ich nutze den Reinigungstopf jetzt seit ein paar Tagen regelmäßig beim Löten – und bin sehr zufrieden. 🧼 Reinigung funktioniert super: Die Messingwolle entfernt Reste zuverlässig, ohne die Spitze zu beschädigen. Deutlich besser als ein nasser Schwamm, da die Temperatur erhalten bleibt. 🧲 Sicherer Stand dank Silikonboden: Die gummierte Basis sorgt dafür, dass nichts verrutscht – egal ob auf der Werkbank oder neben dem Lötplatz. Die Bauform ist angenehm kompakt, nimmt kaum Platz weg. 💬 Fazit: Ein kleines, aber extrem nützliches Tool für jeden Lötplatz. Typisch Weller: durchdacht und solide verarbeitet. Würde ich jederzeit wieder kaufen!

Efficace et pas cher!
Je cherchais ce genre d'outil pour nettoyer les petites pannes lorsque je soude des fils électriques en cuivre. Inévitablement, au cours des travaux, la panne se charge d'un excès de soudure. Un va-et-vient en tournant dans la masse métallique (à chaud) nettoie bien les pointes, même fines.
