i can’t remember the last time i left a review about anything but this thing was just so hilariously bad i couldn’t help it. after the first time using it on some fairly soft gouda it immediately bent backwards, becoming something that vaguely resembles brass knuckles.

As others stated, this is not heavy duty at all. When I first used it it was slicing cheese paper thin. I am not a strong person and could easily bend it with my hand, which I needed to do to make it actually slice cheese at a normal thickness. It came in a box in already ripped packaging with grime on the utensil, it washed easy but not a fun way to receive a new item. I’m keeping it because it will work for the one time a year I actually use it, but I’m not impressed.

I bought one of these after visiting my sister and using this type of slicer at her house. Hers works beautifully and smoothly sliced cheese. With varying amounts of pressure I could slice very thin slices or thicker slices. This item is a piece of garbage. I knew I should’ve spent more money for better quality. When applying any pressure the cheese just crumbles and breaks in pieces. And yes I’ve tried it on a variety of different cheeses. Save yourself the Hassle, buy a quality item.

For only $7 I figured it was worth taking a chance. I mean it’s just a cheese slicer. No real advanced technology to worry about...but here is the issue. It is too small to make take a normal sized slice from a brick of cheddar. And it is difficult to get a kraft single sized thickness with the slicer. Skinny thin slices was all I was able to manage. Don’t assume I am a cheese slicing neophyte that just doesn’t know how to use a cheese slicer. I have decades of experience. I’m going to reinvest in a bulkier slicer.

This thing slices cheese exactly the way it should! It doesn’t talk back, it doesn’t stay up past bed time, i dont need to supervise it every waking hour. It’s fantastic! If I choose to use a different utensil occasionally not a peep from this guy, he happily looks on while i cheat on him with a big knife to get the job done. The shiny metal increases negative ions in my home by 27% and the shapely shape is sure to be a crowd pleaser at your next soire. Any serious homeowner and cheese cutter in an average income bracket and 4.5 kids living in the western United States who likes to watch TV after kids go to sleep should have this gizmo at the ready. In fact, it should probably receive its own special hook prominently displayed on your front door, so all your neighbors and amazon package delivery persons know your serious about life.
