Is this a silicone gel? If not what is the active ingredient?

Ingredients Active: Allantoin 0, 5% ,Skin Protectant. Inactive: Water (purified), PEG 200, Alcohol, Xantham Gum, Allium Cepa (Onion) Bulb Extract, Lecithin, Methylparaben, Sorbic Acid, Panthenol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Fragrance

Does it treat old scar?

Yes it does. I don’t know how well I’ve been using it for a couple of weeks and my scar is getting less noticeable but it’s about a year old.

Can this also be used on current active acne?

I actually tried it on My Face acne. It does Work, but it made My face very Dry. I had Dry Patches in the Spots I used it on. So I stopped. So I wouldn't advise doing so.

If you use it longer than 6 months does it make the scar look better and better or just stop at 6 months?

I have only been using for 4 months so not sure yet..but so far it has gotten better and better.
