You usually do get what you pay for with binoculars.
TOUGH: They survived safari dust and Land Rover bouncing.WATERPROOF: They survived repeated washing dust off under a tap.VALUE FOR MONEY: They do the job acceptably well for the price - for short-term use.CONSTRUCTION: The LH eye cup is looser than idea and the RH eye dioptre adjustment was so stiff I had to get them repaired under warranty. Other than that they seem fine.EYE RELIEF: Ample for spectacle wearers but the eye-cup position is critical to avoid 'black-outs'.OPTICALLY: Obviously not the highest quality at that price. They are good enough if you are only going to use them occasionally. For long-term use, I find them an effort and I quickly yearn for something better. The biggest draw-back is that they never 'snap' into focus so I am constantly trying to get a better image.FOR COMPARISON:My cheaper Helios Nitrosport 8x26 have a sharper image but are not as bright and not so well made.My Opticron BGA monocular is a step up in image quality from the Adventurers and worth paying the extra. My Swarovski 8x25 and 10x32 binoculars are in altogether a different league. They both snap into focus and give a much more relaxed image that seems effortless and natural for all-day use.You usually do get what you pay for with binoculars.

Great for watching F1 track side
Bought this to the Silverstone GP and it was great. Was able to see all the cars on track clearly and the eye relief is really good, even if you wear glasses!

Probably good for the price
It is taking me a while to get used to these and I’m not overly happy with them for the price. The right hand adjustable eye rim which screws in and out for use with and without glasses (very useful) is so loose that it’s always accidentally going down to the position for wearing with glasses. It happens without you realising and you’re suddenly out of focus then realise it’s that that has happened again. The neck strap and it’s plastic adjustment fittings are of very poor quality and after only half a dozen uses one of mine broke so I’ve had to tie the strap together on one side. It’s a shame because the light is good and the image is super, once you’ve worked out how to place your eyes on them. I have to hold them against my upper brow in order to get the single image. I’ve got used it this. It it was a big adjustment after years of actually having the eyepieces around my eyes in the sockets with my old Nikon’s. I think in summation, I should have purchased something as personal as this from a ship where I could try them out.

Sharp bright clear viewing Excellent VFM.
My main binocular is a Swarovski 12x50 EL, witch TBH i dont like using in fowl weather! may be am a wuss but they are somewhat expensive!! So have "traditionally " used a secondary Bin for winter , however i think my eyesight has changed a wee bit recently? and cant seem to get pin sharp focus on previous winter bins, this warranted the purchase of this Opticron bin- on the back of the stated long eye relief. This Opticron bin does indeed have long eye relief, as with any bin its really important to set up your dioptre and IPD (eye width) correctly. The center hinge is somewhat stiff, this is an advantage because its saves need for frequent re- adjustment. Once you have calibrated the binocular to your physiology, they are VERY rewarding to use, clear bright sharp images are delivered!! , which , at the price is astonishing! the case and lanyard supplied are frankly poor, but, it keeps the cost down and you can upgrade if you wish (with Opticron items-whatever), i always like it when a bin, in fading light, makes the distant image appear lighter than it actually is compared to naked eye observation, and this binocular does that very well. the VFM aspect is insane, the image quality IMO is excellent, they come with 2 year warranty , I understand they are not metal bodied but so what? ( if you drop a metal binocular it will distort or fracture) if they were they would be far far more expensive. So, an excellent binocular WELL WORTH THE MONEY !!
