A no brainer bargoon.
It does what it is supposed to do, give that Marshall sound at a really low price. Very tweakable, a bit of hiss at high gain, great for direct recording or through a clean amp. A little work and you can get a nice vintage HiWatt sound out of it too. It's a no brainer for AC/DC sounds, start with everything at 12 o'clock and go from there. Roll back the Voice and drive for decent blues sounds, throw a fuzz pedal in front, scoop the tone stack and you are getting into Pink Floyd area. Works well with overdrive pedals.

Buon overdrive a prezzo contenuto

WOW!
For 30 bux, I only expected some cruddily-made toy that might be fun to use til it either quits working or I have to treat it like an egg like I do with my Behringer stomps. I don't gig, and my gear doesn't get any hard use, so the thin plastic Behringer stuff I have is still okay after a couple of years and still going. I was ASTONISHED when I opened the parcel to find a hefty, weighty, very fetching appearance-wise, stompbox with SOLID knobs which have nice resistance to them, with no wobbliness or any kind of "cheapy" feel at all. Plugged in, I was pleased to note that they give you the "unedited" TRUE Marshall sound, complete with the trashy, very high-mid-oriented type of highs. Most "Marshall-in-a-box" stomps, imo, sound much tamer than a real Marshall, and they give you a "prettied-up", safer version of that sound, in order to appease the 15-year-old Children Of Boredom/Cannibal Corpse lame-o neo-hippies the scene is now infested with. I have a Tech 21 Oxford pedal, and, oddly, this weighs more and has an even more solid feel than the Tech 21 does! There's no speaker sim defeat switch on the Joyo, but you'll be surprised how much you WON'T miss it. Oh, I plug into guitar amps. I've plugged the Oxford into my portable PA/keyboard amp with the sim engaged like you're "supposed" to, and I couldn't dial in a sound that sounded good or interesting at all. Besides, the notion of playing guitar thru a PA makes me kind of queasy. It's stupid. I'll be checking Joyo out further. I'll just say, a stompbox for this cheap and is made well and sounds this great, is nothing short of revolutionary.

I love the portability
The thing I love the most about this pedal is how it adds to the portability of my 40 Watt amplifier. I can insert a 9 volt battery, take it almost anywhere with me, together with my amplifier, and get a sound modelled after a Marshall amplifier.
