After careful consideration of both items, this differs from the Thermos Nissan bottle in which how the lid is designed. This design has two tops, you unscrew the top lid, which also serves as a cup (the selling point for me), then you unscrew another cap to pour the beverage. Also, note that cleaning appears to be easier, then the TN bottle, which has a smaller opening. Although, this item has been promoted for beverage use, a week ago, I actually put a can of progress chicken soup in it, with no problems, and it was still warm 6 hours later. If you prefer the convenient access of one uniformed lid, then perhaps the TN bottle is good for you. Just consider the ease of cleaning the product as well. On a final note, I can voucher for the Thermos Nissan Stainless King 16-Ounce Compact Bottle, Midnight Blue because I own it and beverages stay hot/warm for hours and it's a breeze cleaning it. Q: What is the actual product weight?

I went to the Thermos website and they do not give a weight, but I want to correct a mistake I made on my earlier answer. They are actually thin walled stainless steel, not aluminum.

Q: Are you able to drink directly from the Thermos without having to pour it into the cup? I like to sip on-the-go.

When you remove the cup and unscrew the "cap" on the thermos, the stainless steel "mouth" of the thermos is wide and easy to drink from however it is stainless steel which is not the most pleasant surface to drink from AND if the beverage is very hot, this "mouth" tends to be hot as well.
