A gripping read. More please
Hopefully this is the first of a new series. I’ve read and passed on the whole series of Women’s Murder Club, enjoying every book.Could a ‘Sister’s Detective Agency’ series be as mind gripping as WMC?

Oh Yes I Enjoyed this one!
Really enjoyed reading this one. Different, cleverly plottesd and fast moving for me it was certainly a page turner. Great mixture of the two women very different in types and outlooks but it made for an altogether pleasing read.I am a very very big fan of the Women's Murder Club series and hope these will follow in the same vein. Roll on the next one.

ANEW SERIES FROM MR JP???? (Papaerback)
If the formula works - Why change it? For me his formula of short sharp chapters, with twisty surprises has worked for years for me, and this new one is no different. Why 4 stars? This time I didn't like the lead characters. Certainly "Baby" need a good "talking to" though I suspect in the next novel she will be just a bit more bearable. Also (no spoiler I hope) I truly did NOT like the ending. But that's just me. A good solid page turner, and if/when he does produce a second "2 Sisters" I will probably get it!

Weighty problem
An overweight pink haired, flamboyant lawyer and it gets worse a 15 year old sister who is so up her own backside she cannot be believable. Even in this day and age it is all for fetched. Never mind, it's only a story, which in the end is a great laugh. Not brilliant writing, but the royalties will keep the wolves from the foor. Keep it funny and ridiculous it may make a series. Not.

One outweighs the other…
… and that is a good thing, because someone has to be the adult around here. I think the Patterson/Fox team works well—he has the formula and she has some original ideas. I certainly hope that there are not many of the kind of teens you meet in this book. As for some more of this series, well, I will buy.

3.5 for us
Rhonda Bird is used to problematic kids, she is usually representing in court however when she has news her estranged father has died and she now has a teenage sister. The kids attitude is off the scales, glued to her phone, used to no rules and getting her own way. Then we have a family attacked by a masked group, the little girl ends up really unwell in hospital and the dad isn't just your run of the mill dad. The book splits into two, Rhonda trying to deal with her emotions of her dad (who abandoned her) and the responsibility of what he has left behind. Then she gets tangled up with one of her sisters pals who is being hunted by a killer. The story bounces between the guy hell bent on revenge, Rhonda & her new circumstances and the group of individuals that have been targeting and abusing/terrorizing people in their homes. Short chapters as always which is great for me as my concentration is terrible just now. Despite there being three different storylines they are relevant to each other and cross over without confusion.I liked Rhonda she seems like a really decent human being and coped well with her very annoying and entitled little sister. The killer hell bent on revenge was a decent story but a few actions/decisions I was like really? A good story for escapism and it goes at a good pace, lots of shady horrible people dottered throughout. I have read these two collaborating before and would read them again. I will be interested to see if there will be more from these, 3.5/5 for me this time!
