Love it! Brand new, cheap. Great book for embroidery.
This is a very good book. I have many. Easy embroidery patterns. A bit Nordic stitches and those "antique" projects that look amazing on new eclectic styles too. Stitches from the Garden is just one book by the author. She has several. All great.

How thorough the instructions are
Nice book-lots of projects. I have some of her other books and have bought a lot of her patterns. They are easy to stitch and her instructions are easy.

A Great Hand Embroidery Book
Beautiful book, the drawings and patterns are wonderful. You can make the projects as illustrated or in whatever way adapts to your projects. All the designs are not simplistic, but have simplicity in their beauty. Also the directions, stitches and floss information is excellent. I recommend this book, I am so glad I found it on Amazon. I have several embroidery books and this one is an awesome addition to my selection.

Whimsical designs suitable for all levels of experience!
I am a fan of Kathy Schmitz' work. I subscribe to her monthly, small embroidery club and had been eyeing this book for some time. It's so much fun! I have already made two of the projects. The embroidery techniques are fairly basic and I feel that this book would be appropriate for embroidery beginners as well as for those who are experienced. Delightful whimsey and sweet designs make this book a keeper for me. I just ordered her latest book ....
