The LED's are bright but the instructions might was well not be in the package since the don't reference the colors of the wires. However that said, here is the hookup: Red wire is 12V hot. Black wire is ON switch ground, just ground the wire to the car body. Yellow wire is door switch ground. When a car door opens this goes to ground through the door switch of the open door.Simple and easy. I screwed the included bracket to the bracket the old light was attached to. If the included directions as included the color of each wire I would have given them 5 stars.

Internal switching is defective. Impossible to wire so that "DOOR" and "ON" switch positions work correctly -- you can make one or the other work but not both. I tried all combinations of connecting the three wires, and it simply will not function correctly.Instructions are written by a non-English speaker using a translation dictionary. Nearly useless.
