BeaverCraft Deluxe Wood Carving Kit S18X - Wood Carving Knife Set - Spoon Carving Tools Set - Whittling Knives - Woodworking Wood Carving Tools Large Whittling Kit S18X

Expensive but Excellent Quality! I did not want to spend the money on these but I am so glad my husband insisted that I buy them. Very sturdy, easy to hold design. Great weight for holding and the blades appear to be high quality and sharp upon first use. I love the variety of styles. This is great for beginners. I am a smaller woman with average/small hands and these are so perfect to hold onto.

Quality leather roll. Sharp blades and impressive build. Very happy with this set.

I use these in my shop class with students. They have been a great addition to our tool lineup. They are VERY SHARP. I paired them with the kevlar gloves to help avoid accidental harm while they learn how to carve. So far they are very durable, have right sized handles for easy handling, and are a good value.

Good knives but 3 of the knives needed to be stropped before I could use them. I do like the kit though.

Decent set of knives but not as sharp as expected. Especially spoon knife and gouge.

This is a good selection of knives, with a convenient pouch to store them and carry them around.I got these to give spoon carving a try. It includes a gouge that I hardly ever use and a bowl cutter that I use a lot to scoop out the material in the bowl of the spoon. Be careful when using it on hardwoods, as well as softwood spoons I've carved one spoon out of walnut and another out of red oak. If you slip with this particular knife the results might not be pretty. Don't ask how I know this.Operator error aside, the blades work well, they are nice and sharp right out of the box, and the set is a good place to start if you want to try wood carving.

This was a gift for a beginner wood carver. This seems like a good brand overall, the knives lay good in the hand and have not dulled yet.

The blades were very sharp right out of the package. The leather tool roll is very well made and for me it seems a bit overly bulky. The variety of knives is great as I am learning about different carving techniques.I was really disappointed this morning when the hook knife snapped while I was scraping out the inside of a walnut spoon. I consider myself reasonably fit, but for this tool to break was a surprise. I had hollowed out the spoon with a Forster bit, then used paring knives to shape the hollow of the spoon. I was using the hook knife to shape things further and then *snap*I’ll be searching for another brand of hook-knife since this was my first purchase of this kind of tool and I’m not sure how durable they should be.Update: vendor reached out via Amazon and they are sending a replacement. Great service!Update#2 I received the replacement and the hook knife has been working great. Honestly I was expecting a replacement for just the hook knife- but I received a replacement of the full set I originally purchased. Vendor definitely went above and beyond!!

Amazing!! Really

Absolut begeistert! Klare Kaufempfehlung! Das Set ergänzt meinen Werkzeugbestand. Alle Messer wurden sehr scharf geliefert. Schöne Optik und Haptik. Die Messer liegen sehr gut in der Hand. Habe zwei Lieblingsmesser vom Set. Auch der mitgelieferte Schleifblock überzeugt! Und die Lederhülle ist ebenfalls sehr qualitativ! Freue mich sehr darüber!

Lovely set of carving tools in a good quality leather roll. Great handles and very ergonomic to hold. I’ve not had chance to use them yet but the blades look sharp!
