Q: What’s the weight limit that this item will fit?

I am not exactly sure. But I have a iPhone 8S, no problem at all for holding it in position

Q: I think i'm missing something? i cannot keep my phone from flopping forward after i put in the thumbscrew through the jhook. it does not sit flush.

Please make sure you are putting the thumbscrew into the J Hook in from the side opposite the nut. The thumbscrew needs to go in from the opposite side to hold the phone in place. Please feel free to contact us directly with any questions we are always happy to help.
