Well forged and sturdy
Seems very sturdy and well made. Haven't lifted an elephant with it yet, maybe next month. Did use it to hoist a sled with a bundle of shingles up a ladder to the roof.

Complete piece of crap, and dangerous to boot
Complete piece of crap, and dangerous to boot! The screw threads and shaft are undersized: despite being clearly labeled on the tag as a 1/4" bolt, the shaft cleanly fits through a 3/16" washer! In my case, the supplied nut stripped the threads of the bolt with ease, dumping the 50 lb planter I was hanging all over my patio. Nope, nope, nope: do *not* trust this POS for anything! Amazon, drop this from your warehouse for safety reasons!
