HEZHEN Meat Cleaver & Butcher Knife - 6.8 Inch 67-Layer Damascus Steel Forged Sharp Kitchen & Vegetable Cleaver with Non-Slip Wooden Handle

I've only had this for a couple weeks, but it seems really, really nice. Great all purpose asian style cleaver...very nice quality for the money. Not for breaking bones, etc, but really good for everything else. Cutting vegetables, meat, etc...all great and does not stick. I have a Wusthof asian chef's knife that was twice as expensive and very nice, but it sticks when chopping vegetables, especially cabbage, while this does not. Great balance and weight. I would suggest coating the handle with some Boos Block board cream after each use... while beautiful out of the box, the sycamore handle seems very absorbent. The beeswax and mineral oil combo seems to retain the luster and seal it from liquids. Very happy with my purchase.

Simply amazing hugs the hand cuts beautifully I just don’t like the labels on the knife the company name and where it’s from. Everything else is a 5. 4 is for the written portion on the knife.

So chopping something up then scooping those bits up is really nice. also scooping a cooked an egg out of a pan is cool. maybe I don't need any other knives now.

The handles are an oil rubbed finish so like every part of these knives they require maintenance. I finished mine with a few rubbed on coats of tru-oil (gun stock oil) so that I don’t have to oil them again and to protect the wood from staining. Other than the handles I have nothing to complain about.

if i could give negative stars, i would. this is not even a knife; it's a literal piece of garbage. i spent $300 on a half a pig and when i used this thing to cut the bones, it literally had chunks breaking off. Now my meat is ruined, the knife is ruined and amazon doesn't give a crap! they don't care about the animals life that will now be wasted, the food that will now be wasted, or the fact that i could literally die from eating the meat that is contaminated with METAL SHARDS!!!!

Beautiful and sharp. They are so nice to work with. The scissors in particular are next level good!
