The Loophole in LSAT Logical Reasoning

Might be all you need
When I decided I wanted to take the LSAT, the first thing that stressed me out was the sheer number of resources out there—books, courses, websites, some of which costing hundreds or thousands of dollars. It’s very hard to pick a lane. With the new test format eliminating logic games in lieu of an additional logical reasoning section, I realized I should probably focus my efforts on that category. This was the highest rated LR resource I could find, and three months later I understand why.Everyone’s journey with this text will probably be a little different. It’s very multifaceted and covers the topic from many angles that build on each other. You may get more mileage from some concepts than others. For me, it was the breakdown of different question types (namely “powerful” vs. “provable” questions and the different things to consider for each) that made things click for me. I went from getting more LR questions wrong than right at the diagnostic stage to consistently swinging 22-23 out of 25 on full LR practice sections. My eventual test score reflected that. So, amongst all the other LSAT prep out there, I would highly recommend this book supplemented by the free practice tests available through LSAC. Don’t waste your money on some course. I wouldn’t say I’m a particularly disciplined self-study and I still found this book easy to chip away at. It’s very approachable.

New methodologies and drills: CLIR, Translation & Conclusion Drills
This book and the methodologies in it drastically increased my LR score and demonstrably changed my law school prospects. Before I started prepping, I thought I would be heading to a law school ranked in the 50s, best case scenario. I am now at a T10 law school.Yes, this book is new to the market at large, but it is not new to me. I had access to a pre-release copy of this book when I was prepping years ago. I have since purchased the final copy as well, because I think the logical reasoning concepts in this book still apply to my work as a law student and will apply when I work as an attorney post-graduation.I had tried everything from the PowerScore bibles, to Manhattan, Blueprint, etc. Though these other companies have a famous name and products, I do not think they get to the central point of what the LSAT's LR section tests you on. If you learn about the loophole and other new methodologies in this book (do the translation drill religiously, learn CLIR, and do the conclusions drill), your score will increase. It's very self-guided. My improvement in LR: I was missing about 12-14 questions per LR section and went to missing 1-3.This Loophole book is market-defining. The methodologies the author shares are very effective and make the LR section a lot more approachable. The accessibility of the explanations is much higher -- it's clear language and better explains concepts that are difficult to understand. I never had to re-read a sentence to understand what it meant. In comparable LSAT study materials, I found myself having to do multiple re-reads, hoping each time that the next time I read it over, I would understand it.It's also an entertainer! What a fun (and funny!) read. For example, in Ch. 2, the author relates complex arguments to marzipan blocks. LOL. "This intermediate conclusion is a conclusion acting like a premise. Kind of like marzipan blocks are delicious desserts masquerading as infrastructure." (p. 51).You won't regret learning from the Loophole. Really invest the time to master the concepts and do the drills that the author lays out. Enjoy!

Amazing book!!!
This book is truly amazing for Logical Reasoning prep!!! It explains in detail how to prepare for the LSAT LR sections, how to answer each type of question, how to distinguish between different types of questions, how to distinguish between different types of stimuli (paragraphs preceding each question), etc. I have recommended this book to everyone else in my life who is also studying for the LSAT. As a college student of modest means, I can 100% confirm that it is worth every penny. The book is also written in a way that is fun and engaging, which makes it much easier to work through
