FAST Rings 6.5" 3 Piece Speaker Enhancement Kit FAST Rings solve the problem of acoustically coupling aftermarket speakers to factory speaker openings. It's a laser cut foam product with industrial-grade, peel away adhesive backing. The rings separate into three pieces. The first FAST Ring is a dedicated gasket for speaker mounting to the baffle plate surface. The second ring mounts around the outer edge of the speaker, just past the surround. The third circular foam pad goes behind the speaker to absorb unwanted reflections on hard surfaces, such as inside a car door. By using the 3-ring approach the kit improves the projection of the audio into the car cabin and reduces unwanted rear reflections that can degrade the sound. (Does not come with speakers shown in images).

The concept is good, it's just that open cell foam won't be ...
These are open-celled foam and hold water. I'd use a closed cell foam product instead. SoundSkins has a closed cell version, and I think Stinger has one now, too. The concept is good, it's just that open cell foam won't be doing you any favors. They hold water (and therefore mold), and the sound goes right through them into the door chamber. Closed cell foam won't hold water (and mold), and won't let the sound bleed out into your doors.

Don't do an install without these! Yes they are not cheap but they work very well. I installed these along with my Stereo Integrity TM65 mkII midbass drivers and it made a noticable and measurable difference. Yes, a measured difference. I took before and after frequency response measurements and the overall frequency response was smoother overall with the FAST Rings.

Not much difference in a 04-08 Grand Prix
Nice kit (to pricey for what it is though)..in my vehicle it didn't add much at all (Grand Prix 04) but thats more of the design of the door speakers on the Grand Prix as they have a speaker enclosure baffle for the door speakers, so hard to install the inner speaker piece..the outer door piece had to be trimmed down to about 1/2" to get door panel back on..the door skin round piece is decent but again it only makes a slight difference and only when the window is up..I could see this kit being great for certain door speakers but not on the 04-08 Grand Prix's

They make a difference... simple as that!
I've installed these in the doors of my 04 GMC 2500HD single cab, a long with new, rather cheap 6.5" components. Added a tad more sound deadening to the doors and these rings make just about as much thump as the little 8" woofer I have behind the seat! Highly recommend them, as if they can make cheap speakers sound good, I can only imagine what they will do for an actual good system!

Huge difference !
Expensive but worth the money. It makes a huge (really HUGE !) difference in sound quality, speacially mid bass. I have two pairs of Pioneer componet speaker TS-D1730C and after installed, the stock speaker sound was better than my new speakers. After some research I decided to try this stuff. I spent 3 hours to remove, install the rings and reassembly the speakers and doors panels but I’m really satisfied.

A must have for your Install shortlist.
These are the quickest, and simplest, and I think I'm right in saying cheapest solution for enhancing midbass. I think you could get away with this, and a minor amount of deadening, and have almost professional results.Gear::Apline PDX-F6 on 4x Audison Voce K6.5 in the doors of a Chevy Cruze. Doors are fully dampened with Second Skin Damplifier Pro, door skins are also heavily deadened.Phenomenal Midbass.I think these should be on your short list for installing door speakers. They build an open enclosure around the speaker and isolate them from the door cavity, allowing the mid bass to punch through the door and into the cabin. I've seen these cheap foam rings in some of the highest dollar installs, that aren't using custom kicks.

I love these.. A must have for stereo install!
I saw these on a YouTube video and decided to give them a try on my friends new stereo installed. I love these. They pressed up against the door panel very tightly and directed sound into the cab of the car well. I was only able to use the outer rings, but they fit perfectly around the 6.5 inch speakers and I will definitely use these on every other car install I do..

Easy install for better sound
I installed these on a sedan. Before installing the sound was of a tin can and you could easily hear the music through the door outside of the car with the windows up. Traditional speaker housings will not fit due to the movement of the window up and down. This foam kit allows you to fasten a piece directly to the door allowing the window to pass between the foam and speaker when in the down position. Sound is now better with the foam installed weather the windows are in the up or the down position. I recommend installing these
