Remington S9630 T|Studio Silk Ceramic Wide Hair Straightener, Flat Iron 2-inch Ceramic Plate, Red

I am giving this straightener a 5 due to the fact it is so cheap in comparison to a high end one and it works better. I was skeptical at first when I was recommended this straightener but I am so glad I took the chance and figured what do I have to lose for $30 when all my others were over a $100. This straightener works really good and doesn't pull or tangle hair and glides nicely and my hair doesn't feel dry like it has before with other ones it feels smooth and my hair stays straight for 2 days without any major touch ups.

Great price. I have no skill whatsoever with hair styling products, but I'm able to use this pretty easily. It leaves my hair straight all day and heats up quickly. I was looking for an inexpensive product because I didn't think I would be using this very often, but just on special occasions. However, this is so easy to use that I am straightening my hair for work at least 3x a week. I hope it last for a long time.

I've been using this flat iron for several months now and I think it is a good one for the price. I love the width, the swivel cord, and the hinge lock. I also like how fast this flat iron heats up (although it takes closer to 30 seconds or a minute unless it's on the lowest heat setting). However, I do have a few small problems with this product. The first is that the temperature dial is right on the outside of the handle, so I'm always accidentally turning it down while straightening my hair. Also, the outside of the plates get too hot to touch, which didn't happen with my old flat iron. Both of these issues can be avoided with a little care, but they are still annoying.My hair is on the fine side of average, and I use this iron on the highest heat setting, but sometimes I still have to go over sections of hair a couple of times before they are fully straight. I would not recommend this iron for anyone with particularly thick or coarse hair. That being said, the end result (on my hair, at least) is straight, silky hair that stays straight for a couple of days at least. Overall I am happy with this purchase and I think it would be hard to find a flat iron much better than this for the same price.

I absolutely loved the way this straightener works but it only lasted me 1 year. It recently stopped working and keeps shutting off on it's own every time I put it on my hair.

i use it to flat iron and curl. i have longer hair and wanted wider curl waves, this worked great. i was worried because it was so cheap but its actually pretty great! no complaints. heats up super fast , has several heat settings, and makes my curls look great!—-UPDATE—-I have had this since Nov 2018, and still have it today March 2020. This still works great! I have recommended it to many friends!

I have long thick hair, and this straightener takes much less time than the more expensive brand. I am very pleased with not only the price, but also the quality of this product. I like the option of heat, because when I straighten all of my hair, I can put it on high heat, whereas bangs I can lower the temp. Will definitely buy again!

I’ve tried several flat irons from the $200 salon kind to the drugstore kind and this is **by far** my favorite purchase. This flat iron is twice as wide and it only takes me five or six minutes to do my entire head of hair which falls to the middle of my back. It heats up fast, cools down quickly, is very light weight, and leaves my hair shiny smooth and glossy. The flat iron glides and never catches on my hair - which I really like to avoid breakage. Would buy this again, recommend highly.

Worked good for the month it worked. Item was delivered 2/25 and today 3/30 just won't work, won't turn on. Of course return window ended 3/25 so I will purchase a different brand now since I already have to pay for a new one! Didn't expect this for price and being a Remington. Very disappointed!

Don’t buy this product in India, you need a transformer and a converter and it still has a lot of issues working.
