Configuring Financial Accounting in SAP

I was not pleased with this book. It lacks consistency and reference to actual business processes which are impacted by particular customizing activities. It's not enough just to know what you have to enter something in the customizing screen, but you have to get an understanding what these settings actually does. This book doesn't give such understanding.Very often the same topic is split into several parts and is explained in a few sections of the book, so you can't get a full, end to end picture of the customizing activity/topic in question. Book describes almost only customizing, with very poor reference to real life examples. In general it explains what has to be done, but not how it actually works based on particular settings. I think the same information can be got by reading the help texts in SPRO FI nodes. It lacks screenshots, calculation examples, comprehensive explanations (comparing to other SAP-PRESS books). It covers a lot of topics, but I think it would be better to cover less, but in more detail.Sorry, but I really can't recommend this book.
