I bought this as it was recommended to me, and i like the short stories, prayer and reflection questions. I also bought thr husband book for my hubby. Being that we were having some marital issues, this book has helped so we are greatful. Highly recommend.

I can tell this book was carefully thought and written from a place of love. I enjoyed the way everything was broken down and explained in ways any wife would understand.

I started reading this book a few days ago and I like it. This book is definitely what its title says “Wife after God”. It has prayers and topics about serving God and serving your Husband, reminding me to maintain a balance. My Husband can never be put higher than God in my life, but this book is a reminder that marriage is a covenant between me, God and my husband. Marriage is more than a cute wedding with a ton of guests that are partying and eating cake. God wants us to serve our husbands. I am a child of God, a mother and a RN. I do a lot of servicing for others, but it is a calling to do the same for my Husband and keep the compassion. Women are the missing rib, and I have to remember not to get weary in times of troubles and still love and pray for him when it’s not easy. This book is helping in those areas, while still reminding me that I am a daughter of the King first!

Just starting this, but already the questions really make you stop and reflect and think. Also got the husband after God one too. Can’t wait to see how this transforms my marriage.

I've read a lot of Christian marriage help books. My marriage has been an area I have struggled with and I'm constantly trying to challenge myself and better my marriage. This book really digs in deep to challenge us as wives to place our hope and self-worth in the Lord. The format of reading assigned scripture and her beautiful flow of words, touch your heart. The stories and convictions will challenge you take a closer look at your motivations. What they are and what they should be. You're encouraged to journal your thoughts as you read through each day's topic. You're given questions to help you evaluate that topic in your role as a wife. She constantly brings God's role to mind and helps us to be mindful of obeying his design for our life and our marriage. The daily challenge will encourage you to take what you are learning out of your own head and put them into action in your marriage. And the status update will keep you feeling accountable as you proceed to take time out each day to spend with the Lord and in bettering yourself as a wife. I can honestly say that this book helped me grow closer to God. I even have had days of entering in with the Holy Spirit and feeling enlightened as concepts previously lost on me, became clear. I have been constantly recommending this book to any one who is married or engaged. Whether you struggle with many areas or just a few, this book is a must have for all wives.

Obviously this devotional is written for wives. The author focuses on the good things intended in marriage while agreeing that it isn’t easy. I appreciated that she covered marriages where both are Christians and when only one of the partnership is a Christian. I also felt she backed up her statements by taking each lesson back to the scripture. This devotional focuses on what a wife can do to encourage, love, and support her husband. Each day the devotional beings with a scripture verse (or a few actually) followed by the thoughts or a story from the author that support the theme of the daily lesson. There is a prayer from the author as well as a personal challenge and an area for journaling. Each day includes a little status update for Twitter for those that want to connect on a social level. As I read through the book, I kept thinking this was pretty basic information. And then it hit me, maybe this is what so many women need early in their marriage. Marriage doesn’t come with a manual. Not everyone has close women friends that they can turn to for help or training. So while I thought this was simple in the approach, I found the scriptural points right on target. Hebrews 5:12 kept popping in my head…. You have been Christians a long time now, and you ought to be teaching others. Instead, you need someone to teach you again the basic things a beginner must learn about the Scriptures. You are like babies who drink only milk and cannot eat solid food. While this devotional it is written for women of all ages and marital stages, I would recommend this more to newlyweds, younger wives, or new believers that are looking for a foundation study on marriage. Overall, I enjoyed the book. I would recommend it to newly married women. I would also recommend it be done in a small group setting instead of alone. Marriage is hard, there are no easy answers and I have found through my experiences; that having women at all points along the path to be important when questions and concerns arise.

When I started this bible study I was in desperate need of help on how to express myself to my husband. Each challenge that had him in it, was difficult at first. However, by the last challenge I was so excited about it!! This study has helped me lean on God, ask him how to overcome my fears of failure. It was something both my husband and I needed, to communicate and learn exactly where our emotions stem from.

The first sentence in the introduction of this book is "You are here because God pursued you." What?! I'm not important enough for God to pursue! God has more important things to do than chase a person who isn't really looking for him. That same introduction said " As a Christian and as a wife there is a responsibility to nurture both your relationship with God and your husband. Failure to passionately pursue these relationships will result in isolation." At this point I flipped open the first couple of pages in the book to look for my name. I literally feel like Jennifer wrote this personally for me. Isolation and I.... well... let's just say we are well acquainted. I have never passionately pursued God. As the days went on and I read this devotional, I found myself looking forward to reading the verses and looking at things in a perspective that I've never thought of before. Day 13 had me in tears. I have struggled with pride for as long as I can remember. I have associated pride with good things. We live in a world that treasures pride as a positive attribute. But I will never forget the definition that Jennifer wrote. "Pride is an inflated opinion of oneself, a breeding ground for self deception." That one really hit home. I started praying for the first time in years. I mean really really praying. I used to go through the motions, but now, I pray with purpose. I started sharing the things I learned with my husband. I started teaching my boys how to pray. Just yesterday, my 3 year old son asked me if God really could hear him when he prayed. Jennifer, I can't begin to thank you enough for writing this devotional. This is just the book I needed to wake me up. I truly believe that it was God's will for you to write this book so that I could be awakened and so that I could follow him. When I finish this devotional in the next few days, my journey will not stop. I will continue to follow God and use all that I am to follow his will. Thank you for using your spiritual gift according to God's will. Your obedience to God has helped put me on the right path. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I read this book daily. It has helped so much, in many ways. Really eye opening and helpful. My pages are worn. It has a lot of help, useful questions to answer and a prayer. I read this daily, has made a great difference.

This Is a great easy read devotional dedicated for real wives to form a greater relationship with God while also becoming closer to your husband. This book has been a real eye opener and I have enjoyed my month of reading learning and praying. I encourage all wives to pick up this book and use it daily.
