UNbeaten Air Purifiers Filter Pets300RF

I have a real problem with dust( I live in a 115 year old farm house surrounded by fields) and cat hair that drives me crazy. This purifier/ filter for animals is AMAZING. It draws that stuff right in there. I have it next to my oxygen machine so it helps keep it clean also.

This UNbeaten Pets 300 Air Purifiers Filter fits: the Unbeaten Pets 300 Air Purifier; the MOOKA KJ203F-142; and the Elechomes KJ203F-142. I don’t own the Unbeaten purifier. I do own the MOOKA and Electhomes models. I keep a spreadsheet with dimensions and multiple sources on the filters for all the air purifiers I own. The dimension of the filters for these (3) air purifiers are: 11.8” x 1.3” x 14.6”. The Amazon product page graphic for this UNbeaten Pets 300 filter had a package dimension, not a product dimension, but the package dimensions were only slightly larger than the filter I hoped it was. The Amazon product page for the UNbeaten Pets 300 Air Purifier this filter is a replacement for, shows dimensions that match my Elechomes and MOOKA purifiers, and the product design was similar. Also, the default Amazon product page graphic for this UNbeaten Pets 300 filter, showed a model number on the filter’s box of KJ210F-142, a number that brought up compatible filters.This UNbeaten Pets 300 Air Purifiers Filter comes with a detachable (sticky tape) blue washable prefilter. The filter installed on the Elechomes KJ203F-142 has a similar blue prefilter. The MOOKA KJ203F-142 has a very thin white plastic screen of a prefilter that’s incorporated into the main filter. So that integrated prefilter for the MOOKA filter is apparently not washable, but you could vacuum it. (I didn’t realize the MOOKA filter had that thin screen prefilter until I examined it while writing this review.) This UNbeaten model claims a Molecular Sieve internal layer to their filter that the MOOKA and Elechomes do not.It looks like the best deal on replacement filters for this form factor of air purifier is from PUREBERG, a 2-pack with (4) of the blue prefilters. And there are apparently numerous other compatible offerings on Amazon. As of this writing, the PUREBERG filters with extra prefilters are being sold for half the price of this UNbeaten filter. I think this UNbeaten filter is a good product, but I’m likely to go with the PUREBERG with 2 filters for the price of one of these UNbeaten Pets 300 Air Purifiers Filters. I have not yet tried the PUREBERG filters.

I love my UNBEATEN air purifier. This is a backup filter.

This air filter is the Pets300 model ... it can get somewhat confusing, as the model number isn't listed on the actual purifying machine ... so, I added a photo of what the actual unit looks like, so you can be sure you are ordering what you need. The biggest difference between this filter and other filters is that you get 5 stages of filtration vs. 3 from the normal machine. I do notice that this filter does a better job at removing smells than most. I have a somewhat musty basement and a mouse died in the ceiling panels, which smelled terrible! After 24 hours of this running, the smell was almost gone, thankfully. I previously tried a Honeywell A200 purifier, which did not remove the smell.This is a replacement filter ... you get 1 filter which is 5 layers. I like that this is all one unit and does not need separate pre-filters and filters, like some units require. One filter easily sets into the machine and that's all you need. I had no issues installing this ... its super easy.There are a lot of caveats in the instructions ... the machine is not for incense, chemicals or VOC gasses, smoke, cooking with grease and even candles could be construed as a prohibited filtration.. I am not sure why because it seems to do such a good job filtering those items.The confusing part is there is no set time period to replace ... it only says 6 months or 'until the unit could benefit from replacement of filter.' I'm not sure replacing a $40 filter every 6-8 months excites me! My Honeywell A200 has me replace the honeycomb HEPA filter pad every 12 months and the cheaper pre-filters every 3 months. It seems pricey to spend $80/year on filter changes.One of the biggest drawback to this unit is only being able to buy OEM filters ... some other brand-name manufacturers allow you to buy generic filters for MUCH cheaper value because several companies make generic models. I have not found an off-brand Pets300 model filter.Overall, you get less hassle and a really good filtration system with this replacement. It works better than even brand name units to filter smells and clean air. I do wonder if this will continue to be made if the company goes out of business as there is nothing I've seen that could be used in place of this filter as the unit isn't compatible with other filters.

This replacement filter works perfectly, and changing the filter on my Pets 300 takes literally just a few seconds. It's by far the easiest air purifier to replace the filters in, and I love that this is a single 5-stage filter whereas other purifiers use a pre-filter or carbon filter and make you buy multiple replacements. The filter is to be placed in the purifier blue side out, with the tabs at the top.The lifetime of these will depend on your air quality, but you can easily get 6 months to a year out of a filter if you live somewhere with relatively low particulate matter. I use my air purifiers indoors with the window shut, mostly for pollen reduction, and I find they last far longer than the manufacturer recommendations for filter-replacements.This filter doesn't fit quite as tightly into my purifier as I would like, so there is a small possibility of some air-leakage through the gaps. That's my only issue with this, but considering the Pets 300 has the air quality sensor and measurement system, I'm not too worried because I know the purifier works well.

I am very happy with the air purifier and this filter is exactly the same is the original that came with it. Just remove the front of the purifier and then put this in place facing the same way (blue side out) and you are done. No complaints.
