I've been in employment, career and recruitment services for over 20 years. I try to keep my skills current with all the resources I can get my hands on. I've recruited for the private and currently with the public sector and do my own candidate sourcing. This book is one of the best and long overdue resources in the recruiting space. Jonathan Kidder wrote 185 pages jam packed with actionable ideas for diversity sourcing. While reading it you'll feel like you are being coached by a friend who happens to be an expert at sourcing. Jonathan has an easy going writing style that is human and not techy or complicated. If you're serious about diversity, you must add this to your sourcing toolkit. This resource will kickstart your diversity recruiting strategy.Written for all levels, it covers some basic groundwork in the first couple of pages and then dives into the core of the matter; targeting communities, creating a diversity mapping plan, examples for searching social media and Boolean search string examples. Soooo many tips!!! Specific social media platform tips, messaging ideas, sourcing tools, branding tools, lists of diversity terms, colleges and universities. There's more than enough information for a solid diversity recruitment plan.I admit that I was concerned about writing this review because, selfishly, I didn't want my competition to get their hands on it. Then, I immediately came to my senses and realized it was one major way to move the diversity hiring needle. That's what employers need desperately when it comes to recruitment and selection. Now, my goal is to get this book into as many recruiter hands as possible. I strongly recommend Jonathan's book and urge you to make the investment. You will not be disappointed.

I enjoyed reading this book and learning more about diversity recruiting strategies. I'm pretty new to the recruiting industry. As a woman of color, I want to succeed in my role and focus on diverse talent to align with my organization's DEI initiatives. Everything was in detail with Boolean examples to specifically source for diverse candidates. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn more about DEI sourcing strategies. 5 STARS! Jonathan has written an amazing book on Diversity Sourcing. This is “Must Have” for every recruiter and sourcer.I have led diversity recruiting and sourcing efforts for over 20 years and this is by far one of the best books that I have used. It is an easy to follow guide with amazing examples and advice. This book is written in a way that you can go to the section of interest and immediately get useful information that will help you become a better sourcer in general. The diversity specific information will give the reader amazing guidance and direction. I will be using content from this book in my diversity recruiting training to help participants become better at sourcing and specifically diversity sourcing. Well done Jonathan. This is an awesome book. I have been in the industry for over 7 years but this book is very helpful. Insightful and packed with data and information for any Technical Sourcer or Recruiter to use on a daily basis. The Boolean strings are very innovative also. When you buy the book, the author on page 7 clearly states what steps you can follow to get the entire book in pdf format so all the information can be quickly saved to your computer. He also has information on Linkedin User groups that is not known by many people.

Jonathan Kidder is very well known in the recruiting industry for his sourcing and technical capabilities.I've been following him for years and am so thankful for his kindness and desire to help others in our industry become successful. The author provides real examples of diversity key words that will generate a pipeline of candidates. Its a cheaper way to get the CDR without paying for the actual certification.

I love this book and am so glad I added it to my sourcing library. If I ever get stuck on a search, I just flip open to any page and it gets my ideas flowing again. His search strings got me results as well ! I also thought it was well-written.

This is defintely a great book you need to read if you want to take your diversity sourcing strategy to the next level.It includes great booleans examples, messages strategies an other great tools that will help you improve your diversity recruiting and souricng right away.

This book covers all aspects of diversity sourcing: tools to use, platforms to search and messaging. The boolean strings for diversity are the top of the iceberg. I particularly appreciated the practical tips and the templates.
