Carburetor Throttle Cable Compatible with Yamaha PW80 Y-Zinger Big Wheel 80 BW80 Lifan Carb PW 80 Yzinger 1983-2006

Got my bw80 back up and running again after 20 years... The oil intake is in different spot but it works fine. If you start it with no air filter u can see the oil drip and immediately sucked in... didn't use the throttle cable because mine was fine. And I stuck with my original air filter. But carb is good. Easy starts. No issues.

Chinese carb Worked great,I removed the original Yamaha carb,& tossed it on my work bench, I spent days working on the original carb,got it to work, but could not dial it 100%, had to remove the float bowl about 30 times, the main problem was adjusting the floats you have to be very accurate down to the millimeters, and still not working right, no power&some times leaking gas,that’s when I ordered the Chinese carb, when I got it, could not believe how good of a Repop it is, I only used the carb my cables wer still good,installed Chinese carb, started second kick, and runs perfect,my 1990 Yamaha 80 big wheel is running now, and my son has a big smile riding it

The air filter is trash and dont fit. I had to buy two knock off carbs and piece them together, two different brands. the first one wouldn't idle, had no power at 1/4-1/2 but was a ripper up high.The second would do great at idle 1/4-1/2 but wouldn't rev out. I broke them both down and the differences in two carbs made for the same bike was dramatic. Different slides and needles. I ended up buying a oem yamaha carb.

Carb works great. If it were just a carb I'd give it 5 stars. The cable works good enough but where it meets with the throttle control on the bars its a horrible shape and is very very exposed. The rubber bushing doesn't fir into the throttle control either. Scrap the cable and just use the stock one if it is still good. Save yourself the trouble of running the new cable. The carb works perfect though. The tuning needles are very easy to access and it holds a tune very well. The bike now starts right up and runs well. I also needed the air intake box. They sell that on Amazon as well. This carb mates perfext to the airbox. I did have a pod air filter on the carb before the airbox came in and I used the stock jets that came in this carb and it worked fine with the pod air filter as well! I just had to richen the needles. Save your time and money. Don't rebuild your old one on an old bike just buy the carb it works great. By all means keep the old one for a spare and rebuild it if you want to when you get around to it. I bet you won't even bother rebuilding it after you install this one.

This carburetor is practically the same as the cruddy one I removed. A previous owner didn't believe in air filters or fresh fuel. This new carb almost looks like Mikuni sold their die set to someone in China.To make the job as easy as possible, I used the original throttle cable and choke instead of the new ones. The tops of the carbs interchanged and I used the new slide and choke slug on the old cables. I used a piece of the yellow fuel line also sold on Amazon to extend the oil line. No clamps were needed, I just used a rubber sleeve over the joint since there is no restriction.There are more ports on this carb than the original so I used more of the yellow tubing to vent the ports up under the gas tank.My daughter and her husband did the test drives and told me it wasn't idling. Two turns of the horizontal screw on the side brought the idle to spec. My daughter demonstrated it was now easy to start and my grand kids say I am their hero.

PW80 changed tons of minor things from the 80’s to the 2000’s, it worked on my 86 and it ran but it leaked and the original cables did not fit. Still cheaper than a rebuild, just be prepared to fight with it.

I used the stock throttle and carb cables. kept the ones that came with it for spares. dealer wanted 38 dollars for just a needle and seat. I put this on readjusted it air and idle screws. works great. has an extra over flow vrs the stock carb also I pluged the oil injection line . as the pipe is located twards the front more and ith hose was about 3/4 of an inch short. I want to the Yamaha dealers they dident have any line in stock and my son wanted to ride . so I just mixed 2 stroke and hes bin rideing it for the past two months with out a problem. ide buy another one .

Easy install and works well straight from the box on my PW80. Slightly different to OEM, especially the location of oiler but no worries

This new carb worked very well right out of the box. I just needed to tune mixture a bit and adjust idle a little slower after warming up and a few runs. I didn’t use the air filter, as my original was ok. I’ll save the new one for another project.Note the original rubber coupling to the original air filter was difficult to remove and even harder to reinstall, as the rubber near the carb has been cooked over the years. Use a hairdryer to warm the rubber to allow it to remove and install easer.

Arrived within a couple of days, excellent product! Bolted right on and the bike runs great now. I'm an ex small engine mechanic and have been struggling with a low end idling problem (I even have an ultrasonic cleaner) and this new "Walbron" (LOL) carb solved it right away.

Diffrent doesn't fit the pw80 properly had to move the oil line and cap the extra hole

Works awesome two kicks and it sat and idled like a top😁, now the boy can ride it with no problems....Thanks
