Winco Aluminum Stir Fry Pan, 11-Inch,Silver

A couple shallow gouges in the metal, near the rim, when I received it (as expected from other people's reviews), doesn't affect performance. Otherwise this is an A+ pan. The pan is heavy duty, built like a tank, with bombproof rivets and handle. The (silicone?) handle cover is very tight, robust and good quality. Thick pan, it's not lightweight but I like that about it. Glad I bought it... first thing I cooked was cacio e pepe, it was the best one I've made yet. Also, excellent value for $50.

It's perfect for creating creamed pasta dishes like carbonara or cacio pepe. It's a bit heavy but the thickness of the aluminum material is about 5mm or 1/8in that is great for heat retention at the low temperatures needed for the creaming process. The size is big enough to make large portions. If you can't buy an Italian pan, buy this one.

First of all, I love the size of this pan. I use it for a bamboo steamer basket while boiling pasta etc,. keep in mind acid will turn the aluminum dark don’t bother scrubbing it. It’s the nature of aluminum

A great pasta pan, wide and deep enough to lift and toss so that every noodle is coated. Affordable and efficient.

This is not dishwasher safe as stated in the description. One use and it turned ugly yellow. Also, I got the pan because it was recommended for tossing pasta. But the pan is just as heavy as a stainless steel pan and the deep sides are not good for tossing sauce unless you like cleaning your walls and ceiling.

I don’t understand the people that say this is a terrible hard to clean and everything sticks pan. I don’t think they seasoned the pan properly or use the pan the way it should be used. If you do everything correctly this pan is scorching hot on low to medium heat, cooks incredibly well and is very easy to toss and seer food properly. It is also very easy to clean afterwards. But you must immediately upon completion of cooking wash it with a damp sponge in very hot water dry it put it on the flame just like cast-iron and then give it a quick seasoning. I use refined coconut oil. I have zero complaints and nothing sticks at all.

Product feature reads that it is dishwasher safe, but the technical information says it is not. I found out that it is not dishwasher safe after running it in the dishwasher once. I asked for a replacement, but the replacement came with grooved dents inside the pan, which I also returned. Not buying again. Other wise, good decent pan for tossing pasta, cools quickly (good for carbonara), but it is aluminum and can be heavier than your ordinary wok.

I bought this pan thinking I could finish pasta in whatever sauce I was making. The pan heats nicely, and holds its' temperature, so maybe good for stir-fry, but I will not use for what it was intended. The big issue for me was that the pan scratches easily and anything metal will dig into the aluminum and prohibit the free movement of the utensil. I was using kitchen tweezers/tongs trying to move things around in the pan and it didn't go well. the tips kept getting stuck and marring the inside of the pan. I needed to change to a teflon coated spoon. I would think for stir-frying one would have the same issue. It was a bad call on may part. I should have known better, and will give this away to a younger family member.

Works well for finishing pasta

Great heavy pan. Just used it for making carbonara. The shape makes it perfect for tossing the pasta & emolisfying. It arrived with a few minor scratches on the top lip by the handle. Doesn't effect use. Also all 3 of the rivets weren't fully knocked in. Still very sturdy just a bit naff. Would still recommend.

Came with medium chips and scratches all around the rim of the pan, overall still effective, but would've been nice if there wasn't sharp bits around the edge due to the damage/defects

Very sturdy pan in its own right, and excellent for the price. I was reminded how much I hate cleaning around rivets, but that's not a failing, just a design choice. Note that the silicone handle does not come off - or at least it's not designed to be removable. It is tolerant of high heat, though, so I don't mind.
