Douglas Maizie Australian Shepherd Dog Plush Stuffed Animal

Bought for my 9 year old daughter who LOVES Douglas dogs! Its super cute and very well made! She adores it, sleeps with it every night! Even took it on vacation with us!

I just got this Douglas but she seems like she will hold up for years to come and be very durable for snuggles, play, or as an Essa. She is worth every penny and is huge for what you pay for! See attached photos compared to the “Alps Bernese Mountain Dog” and “General German Shepherd “. Very soft texture similar to that of the border collie. My daughter loves this dog! She likes to dress it up and do tricks with it. She named her Layla. Really great purchase and would recommend!

I bought this as a gift for a 10 year old girl. She loves it! It's very well made, soft, with nice details. Highly recommended!

I've recently gotten a handful of Douglas stuffed animals and sadly, this is the first I have to give a 4 star. Don't get me wrong, I adore her! But I have to be honest about her quality. So I'll start off with the bad. Blink and you'll miss it, but it's important for people who are sensitive to texture. 90% of her fur is amazingly soft! But 10%, her white chest, her white forehead marking, and her white tail tip, are made from a very scratchy material. It's extremely unpleasant and forces me to avoid petting those areas when cuddling her. It's honestly very upsetting to be enjoying petting her and suddenly I accidently touch her forehead or chest and then I'm in sensory hell. I'm autistic, so texture is something that can really make or break a plush toy. I have to leave this review to warn other people about it, so no one gets a nasty surprise when they buy an otherwise amazing dog. Now for the good. As I said, the rest of her fur is very soft. The black/white/grey fur that makes up most of her body is extremely soft and cuddly. Very pleasant to touch, long enough that you can brush it if you want, and also just really pretty! Because of the pattern of the material, each dog is going to be unique, with the color distributed in different areas on each one. I was extremely happy when I opened mine and found she has some white on her face from the pattern. She's very well put together. Perfect for laying across a lap or being cuddled in your arms. The paws are weighted slightly so they flop around but the body is completely soft fluff inside. She did smell of perfume when I received her, as all my Douglas animals have so far. I'm extremely allergic to perfume so I had to give her a bath. She's the biggest animal from Douglas I've gotten, so washing and drying her was a challenge but she held up to it very well and now I don't have an allergic reaction to her. I used my preferred mild soap and water and gently hand washed and hand dried her. If I had one complaint, besides the texture of some of the fur, it would be that she doesn't actually look much like an Australian Shepherd to me. Obviously it's hard to perfectly capture certain things in stuffed animal form, but her face is so blocky that she looks more like a Bernese Mountain Dog. The size and shape of her ears are more like that too. She's still gorgeous and I love her, but it's hard for me to see her as a purebred Australian Shepherd, which is my favorite breed. That's just a personal thing and not why I took off a star rating. I just wanted to mention it. For those wanting to buy her as an ESSA and use gear for her: She fits Extra Extra Small and Extra Small of a few different brands of vest/harness that I own. All in all, I'm very happy with her. She isn't cheap, but the quality and size makes her worth the money.

届いてすぐは、ファーが取れて触ると手や服につきますが、それは始めだけです。今は普通に触っても大丈夫です。孫に送ってあげたのですが、この犬種のぬいぐるみは日本で探してもなかったので、輸送費がかかって少し割り高だとは思いましたが、孫は喜んでくれました。

She is absolutely perfect! Her floppy body is perfect to cuddle, and her big paws are adorable! She is around 3 inches/7-8 cm longer than a classic Douglas like the Honey golden or the Chase border collie, and she has a few fur textures! Her main body fur is long and soft, while her face and legs are a short soft fur! The longer white fur on her head and chest is a bit more wired, like the Douglas Akita! Overall she is a beautiful addition to my group, and I highly recommend her to anyone who is thinking about her! 100% worth the money!
