Golden Cat 702003 Tidy Cats Odor Control Clay Litter, 40-Pound

I'm amazed at the quality of this litter. As advertised, it's dust-free. I have 2 grown cats (18 lbs+), and I laid down 2 boxes of this litter - just a 2" layer, and it lasted a week without smelling, and a little more with some minimal deodorizer (Arm and Hammer - very good). Collecting their offerings was easy. It absorbed (or for chemistry nerds - ADsorbed) the urine very well, and all I had to do was to stir and mix up the whole litter 2x a day to help dry it up, and it was good as new every time. This is probably the very best litter, maybe even compared to others more expensive.

It is really really hard to find Non clumping Clay UNSCENTED cat litter! Is it just me who has this problem? Who knows. I have a extremely strange cat and if her litter clumps she's all like: noooo way lady I'm gonna hold it and not go to the bathroom and annoy you and bug you and pester you until you fix it! Loooook at me! Meow! So yah I really like this stuff despite the fact my sister says it's super humiliating having 4 large 20lb bags of cat litter delivered and left outside so the neighbors think we are weird cat people. But OH WELL!

As cat litter goes, this one is good for the money. I have a lot of cats and have used every litter product on the market. Without creating too much dust, Tidy Cats is a good clumping litter.

I don't like spending a lot of money on litter, but I want something that clumps decent too and has good odor control. For ten bucks a bag this stuff performs very well, and I think it is a non-clumping litter. There are better clumping litters out there but your gonna pay a lot more. This stuff has less dust too because of the grain size. Not perfect, but I'll deal with it's shortfalls for the price.

Bought this because I like tidy cats and the price was right. Should have read it more closely this is NON CLUMPING litter. My cat hates it and has decided to poop on the floor instead of in his box. The flies like it though (gross.) I couldn't even finish using the bag and threw it away. I went back to the tidy cats with the blue bag, we are all happier. Worth paying a little more not to have to clean poop off the floor.

I've tried the more environmentally correct litters like Yesterday's News, but I'm not the one using the litter. My cat is. She's always been very good about using her litter box, but I noticed that she likes this clay litter best. She takes her time exploring the box and covering her business up. Whenever I switched litters on her she'd jump in, do her business, then very quickly jump out, scratch and cover while standing outside the box. She doesn't do that with this brand. The Tidy Cats tracks more than the Yesterday's News does, and it is a little dustier. Since I scoop the boxes out daily and clean them out once a week clean-up is no problem. Neither is odor control, since I always sprinkle baking soda in with the fresh litter. Since I don't want my girl to develop any issues with the litter box I'm going to continue to give her what she wants. I also appreciate having this stuff delivered directly to my door, since the supermarket around the corner closed up and I'd otherwise have to go further to pick up this litter. The price is right. I'm satisfied. And for Xmas I owe that UPS guy a gift card. He's earned it.

This is not the same as in stores. It's very fine so it goes faster. I like the smaller bags that have the more coarse litter.

I won't use clumping litter because if ingested it can cause havoc in kitty's stomach. Enter Tidy Cats Long Lasting Odor Control. Pour in a generous amount into litter box with disposable liner (Van Ness, Poopy Cat or Jonny Cat will do). Then simply scoop solid waste and dispose of the liner and contents every couple of days. And a 40 lb. bag delivered to your door makes it all even simpler.
