ASICS Women's GT-2000 8 Running Shoes

I have been running for years. I run a minimum of three and a half miles almost every day. I have a need for a stability shoe and these fit the bill perfectly. They are cushy without feeling slow. After running 7 miles total in them over the last two days I have noticed a decrease in fatigue in my lower legs that is very noticeable. I normally wear a 10.5 in an athletic shoe and these fit exactly as expected. I would highly recommend to anyone for a training shoe... after I get a longer run in I will edit this review to include that information as well.

When Asics stopped issuing its Gel Kayano shoes in narrow sizes this year, I began looking for another model that both fit my feet and offered substantial cushioning for my arthritic knees. The GT-2000 shoe turns out to be a reasonable substitute, even though it is a bit less cushioned than the Gel Kayano. On the plus side, it is a lighter and less expensive model, and I am delighted to have a proper narrow running shoe back on my feet.

A great shoe! Just be aware they run a half size small. We bought a 7.5 (the size we buy for regular work shoes and such) originally but it was too tight. But an 8 fit perfectly. So go up a half a size from what you would normally get based on your regular shoes.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  I used to wear ASICS. I have been wearing Brooks for about 3 years. I thought I’d give these a try. I received them this morning. Went for a 1 mile walk. It felt like my sock was folded under my heel. It was not. I loosened the shoe, I tightened the shoe, and I adjusted the sock again. By the time I got home, my foot was on fire and my arch felt like it wanted to cramp. I will stick with the adrenaline gts and ghost. LOVE the color. Returning.

These shoes have comfortable heel, forefoot and mid foot support. They appear narrow but don’t feel that way on my feet. They fit perfect and don’t irritate boney protrusions on my feet. I over pronate, have flatfeet and needed a stability shoe these are perfect.

It has no padding & is VERY uncomfortable. I wore them for about 3 hours & couldn’t take it anymore! I have flat feet & even with my orthotics & usually comfortable insoles, my feet were still sore the next day! Returned them!

I have a narrow long foot, 10.5 AA. I have tried, and returned, other brands and nothing compares to this shoe. I put it on and can wear it immediately for activity with no break in period required. It feels like it is giving my foot a hug. I use these for volleyball because I cannot find narrow volleyball shoes. I also use them for light running. I have had a really hard time finding these shoes, so when I find them available, I scoop up a pair right away.

I am normally a size 6, but knowing ASICS are narrow I ordered a size 6.5. I would probably order a 6.5 wide next time, but these fit all though a bit snug. Love the color and comfort.

Nice material but the size is all over the place. I am normally a size 4 and have had to order a bigger size. The left shoe is bigger than the right & they are a very tight fit (i don’t have wide feet). Not sure how great they’ll be for running! I find my feet are very sore after wearing them for any form of exercise.

I wear this model of trainer anyway so the size and fit were as expected. Love the colour 😍 and arrived a lot quicker than expected

I like the shoes when I first put them on. I bought 5.5 wide shoes and I'm 5'2. I walk a lot and do daily walks for many miles with my dogs, on pavements and on gravel trails. After a week of walking in these shoes, the sides started to rub against my ankle and became so uncomfortable that I stopped using the shoes. I might have to get in-soles insert to raise my feet higher inside the shoes to prevent this, but I was so disappointed I stopped using them. It was too bad because I felt good walking in them for a while. Maybe other people won't have this issue and I'm special, however, I doubt that.

These are the best running shoes I have ever owned. I jog 5-10 k a day and these are very supportive. The description doesn’t include a width as ASICS come in different widths and I am a size 10 or higher in shoes but ordered a 9.5 and they are perfect, as I prefer my runners to be snug. But a 10 would have worked well to. That’s why I put “fit as expected”. The color pink is just beautiful.
