Took two of us several hours to put together....and we have college degreesand IQ's of over 140~ jUST SHows that brains and brawn seldom mix.Finished piece looks terrific. Hope it holds together for a few years or my wifewill shoot me for not buying a chest at the store.The price was very fair for the well made hard wood piece. If you figure the priceincluding labor ...2 men for 4 hours ….at $50/hour...you have $200 for the materialand $400 for the labor.

I'm always terrified when buying products like this and having them delivered via UPS or FedEx. The experience I've had in the past with carrier delivered furniture has not been a good one. But this time the chest arrived on time and with no damage.It took approximately 1-1/2 hours to put this unit together as it does not come preassembled. The assembly will vary depending on your level of handiness when it comes to putting things together. With three kids and many Chrimbles, i've become quite the handyman when it comes to putting things together. As the dad that's how I spend my Chrimble day, putting things together. The kids open their prezzies and I break out the tool set. But it was relatively easy to handle. After assembly, it looks very nice and goes well with the rest of my daughters furniture. My daughter loves the top jewelry drawer with the felt bottom. The top drawer is small in terms of height but that's because it's designed as a jewelry drawer. The other drawers are quite spacious.I am very happy with this product as I had no misconceptions of what it would be like in terms of quality. It's a chest of drawers for $200+. It is not a solid wood piece of furniture, it is made from engineered wood / pressed board. There are some complaints regarding this, but I don't know what you're expecting. This is a budget piece of furniture that's looks quite nice and is resilient. My daughter at 7 years old does a number on furniture which is the main reason I did not purchase a solid wood piece from a furniture store, but I'm happy to say that after a few months of use, it's still looks like new and has held up extremely well, even with her banging the drawers by closing them too hard.When it comes to assembling items like this that are made of engineered wood / pressed board, you need to have a lighter hand. I've known many people that are heavy handed and have ruined items like this by over tightening screws and other various hardware. And as I've read in some reviews whereby people are using cordless drills and drivers to assemble instead of screwdrivers, I would recommend that you absolutely do not use drills or drill drivers, even if you're attempting to use the clutch. Make that arm ache and use a screwdriver. You're not building a deck here so back off on the muscle when installing the hardware.

I had been eyeing this chest for a couple of weeks… The price dropped, and I jumped on it. I would have never imagined how nice it is —very heavy and sturdy. The drawers are a little wiggly, but just pull them out gently. I put glass knobs on mine, and it made it look even prettier. As far as assembly, just take your time… My friend, and I made a mistake or two in the beginning, and had to practically take it apart a couple of times, lol… Thank goodness that I loved it when we were finished.

First off this dresser game in a box with enough packaging and styrofoam to overflow a landfill but the wood still had scuffs and chips in places.The entire outer frame of the dresser is completely held together by dowels and cam shafts so there's absolutely no rigidity. You should assemble this in place as it WILL fall apart as soon as you try to move it. Dowels and camshafts are fine for lightweight plywood stuff but this dresser is very heavy and is falling apart under its own weight.The parts that you have to screw together with actual screws are a nightmare. The majority of screws you have to make are at impossible angles and/or extremely small spaces that I can barely get to with my human sized hands. A lot of the screw holes are also too short for the provided screw. I don't have a drill on hand so I have to live with all my screws sticking out a quarter inch because I can't force the screw into the wood.Really, really unpleasant to assemble and the end product is wobbly garbage. Avoid.

I ordered two of these chests and am very impressed with their sturdiness and quality, considering how inexpensive they are. They are quite heavy, you will need two people to handle the box. Assembly is fairly easy, with the exception of the first back cross pieces, which are hard to screw in without an extra long screwdriver. Other than that, it went well. They are packed really well and all pieces were undamaged. All the hardware was there. They are very nice looking and I highly recommend!

Once this piece is put together, it looks nice and functions reasonably well. Getting it put together correctly, though, is a nightmare. The instructions make it shockingly easy to put together incorrectly and this resulted in me literally having to break pieces to reassemble the dresser the right way. I had to put in screws at odd angles and the screws were so low quality they easily stripped, making it that much harder to fix it when a piece was put in wrong. Even once the dresser is together, the drawers don't come out as far as you'd think they would.I'd only recommend buying this if you are very confident in your ability to not make a misstep. Even one can potentially result in the dresser being non-functional so proceed with caution.

Top of dresser is the perfect size for a baby changing pad. Well designed and built. It is a heavy dresser for this size, so definitely use the wall anchor if you have a toddler. It could crush them. Took me roughly two hours to assemble but the instructions are excellent.

very nice. touch to put together and top drawer is a bit filmsy but we love it.
