Affective on our short haired dog
We use this on our short haired dog as it penetrates well and soaks the skin. It might not be as affective on our long haired dog but we have never tried it. The only draw back is our short haired dog has a greasy streak down the back for a couple of days but she is free of fleas.

Good product and effective
I buy this for our Alaskan Malamute and have used it for about 5 years total. It keeps the fleas and ticks off of him, but we only have one dog and have never had a problem with fleas or ticks before.
