3 lbs very easy to set up and stable in windy environments

Is it really water proof?

I haven't used it yet, but I put water on it and no it's not waterproof, but the material is very quick drying.

How large is the travel bag for taking on a trip?

About 18 inches long and 8x 8 wide and tall. Very light and easy to carry to beach. You use sand to fill anchor bags. The anchor bags empty easily and repacks back in carry bag with no trouble. Holds up to wind when placed well. Plenty of room underneath for kids. I recommend this product
