Great Packaging! With that amount of dry ice I probably could easily freeze a few bodies!! I’m planning on using this Blood Orange purée concentrate in a Valentines IPA beer recipe! Should be interesting. I’m calling it My Bloody Valentines IPA

This is the perfect mix for blood orange cocktails. May be a little expensive but well worth it. If you enjoy making blood orange drinks this is the way to go.

For starters, I love Perfect Puree. I've tried quite a few of their fruit flavors, and so far they're all good, except this one. The banana flavor is sort of there, but it's masked by a very strong tangy, citrusy flavor. I'm guessing they added a TON of citric acid to prevent browning. Unfortunately, they sacrificed flavor to preserve color. Cooking it rapidly to about 165 degrees, then cooling it rapidly will achieve the same color preservation without any of the lemon flavor. Scooping the seeds out of the center will also improve color. For the premium price, I would expect them to offer a premium product that doesn't rely on cheap, easy measures like just overloading it with citric acid. Seriously guys, put some effort into this product so it matches the quality of the rest of your lineup.

We used a 30 oz container in a 20 gallon batch of White IPA. 20oz went in with 15 minutes left in the boil. We added the remaining 10oz post fermentation to 14 gallons that were fermenting in one vessel. The lemon flavor was in solid balance with the candied ginger, peppercorns, yeast phenols, and hopping which was Citra, El Dorado and Lemondrop. If making a 5 gallon batch, watch how much you add as a little goes a long way. You can always add more, but you can't take it out once it's in.

I liked the convenience of the large containers and easy overnight defrosting. Used the juice for “Jack-a-ritas” for my annual Halloween.

It’s a good product but it’s really getting way too expensive. They should sell their products in a smaller amounts. Most people don’t want that many tubs. They would probably sell more if they sold them in a 2 pack for example.
