Quickly adopt to extend WiFi range on existing ubiquiti network
I need to extend the range of my ubiquiti WiFi to the garage and beyond for some WiFi cameras that had a low signal. I purchased this and plugged it in one of the outlets in the garage. All I had to do was adopt the access point in my ubiquiti controller and now the signal is strong hand the cameras work flawlessly. Took less than 10 minutes to complete the setup on an existing ubiquiti installation. Would take longer if you are setting up a new ubiquiti installation. One thing to note, this access point does cover both outlets on a standard electrical outlet rendering the both electrical outlets unusable for anything else.

Works just fine with AC AP PRO
Joins up with the network just fine, easy adoption, seamlessly extends range. Only downside is the ridiculous shape that completely covers the entire wall outlet despite only needing one plug.

Reliable WiFi Extension with Seamless Unifi Integration
I’ve tried several WiFi extenders with mixed results—most were unreliable. This one, however, just works. It integrates seamlessly with the Unifi platform. My Cloud Key immediately discovered it, adopted it, and updated the firmware without issue. I now have two of these: one extends WiFi to my front door for a doorbell camera, and the other reaches my service panel where I have a Sense energy monitor. Both connections are now fast and reliable—far better than before. One thing to note: although it only uses one outlet, the unit covers the entire wall receptacle, making the second outlet unusable. Overall, Ubiquiti gear continues to be a great value. If you're already using the Unifi platform and need to boost your WiFi range, I highly recommend this extender.

Product fine but seller is shady, beware
The actual product is fine. It was able to mesh successfully and easy to setup. Unfortunately it didn’t penetrate our brick walls and provide the speed I was looking for. It’s clear I would need to upgrade to WiFi 6 for higher bandwidth to get what I was looking for after testing this out. The issue came up when I returned it. The system showed that I would have to pay for the return shipping fees (which is fine since it wasn’t prime). However upon return the seller kept 50% for restocking fee claiming since it was used I can’t get a full return. I used it for a total of 1 hour to run some tests and that is clearly unreasonable. Moreover, I was sent a picture showing there was a smudge on it (easily wipeable). I would encourage other buyers to choose a different vendor for this or just work with ubiquity directly. Taking 50% from the total purchase for restocking is crazy, I’ve bought many electronics on this platform or even in brick and mortar stores like Best Buy and as long as there wasn’t an abuse and over use (which I understand) it’s always a full refund if the device just doesn’t fit your need.

In some cases will take some IT trickery, but once working, these are fabulous
Installed 2 of these to spread signal to the far reaches of a very long L-shaped building. Already have 4 total UniFi AP pro's (2) and lite's (2) units on a server hosted controller, but it was not enough for the additional 40-60ft at the farthest ends of the building, leaving a conference room and 3 rooms on the other side with no internet at all, or 1 bar at best. Added these and initially had an "isolated" error on 1 of them, had to bring it in closer to one of the Pro APs during adoption, after running a pin hole reset (30 seconds hold) on it, then it adopted and pulled in the WLANs and SSIDs perfectly. Then I moved it back to where it was supposed to be and it's perfect now. Experience is 90-100% on all devices now, runs Beautifully.

Plug and play
I already had an ubiquity dream machine set up as my router, and as soon as I powered this AP on impaired seamlessly using the app. All of my devices with previous weeks signal. In the other end of the house now have amazing connection. I would highly recommend this if you need an access.

Easy setup if you google it first.
I used this to extend the range of my UDM (Dream Machine). It's listed as compatible and unsurprisingly it's working well. I would recommend it to others, but I would suggest looking into a setup guide first. It comes with nothing but a little card with a scan code / website that shows you how to plug it into the wall and then suggests getting the app from the app store. What it doesn't tell you is how to connect it to your router, which is really sad because it's so very simple. If you're using a UDM, just log in, click on Network (top right corner menu), then UNIFI Devices on the left. You'll see it there with a link to adopt. Click that, then click Adopt from a box that pops up. That's it. You'll probably have to update it by clicking the update link, but that's it. No other setup and devices will start making use of it immediately. One last note on the design. It looks great and is unobtrusive in the way that it fits tightly against the wall. It's also a very strange choice to design it in a way that will both cause you to sacrifice an outlet and restrict where you place or position it. It worked for me but I can see that being a deal breaker for a lot for a lot of people.

Created a mesh network
Added the BeaconHD to create a mesh network with my UAPnano HD. Plugged it in and it integrated seamlessly without any issues. Has really improved my system with no noticeable performance cost.

Did not work
I returned this product because it did not work. I bought it to mesh with an UniFi U6 Pro access point and my Unifi Network Console would detect it, but could not adopt it, even after rebooting and resetting the unit a few times.

Amazing, if you already have access to your UniFi controller
As another review mentioned the key to this is to already have your UniFi controller up and running. Then just plug this thing in nearby, wait a few minutes, it will appear as ready for adoption, after which there's another few minutes as the inevitable firmware update occurs. That's all there is to it. Over the next 24 hours the different devices attached to the WiFi will steadily roll over to this as if it's nothing, with just an improvement in the connection. The UniFi controller panel gives you a lot more info than you thought you wanted which will help if you decide you want to move this somewhere else and quantify the difference. The simple truth is I should have bought this years ago. It's amazing.
