I Like You: The perfect Valentine’s Day gift

This is an old book reissued recently (2021?) and has a double page with a black &white drawing plus short text explaining why the author likes her friend.I bought for two girls under ten years who have problems understanding why they have trouble with friends.Both are actually sought after & good friends.It goes from obvious things like you both like the same things to actually difficult ideas like 'when I am cross with you then you are cross with me' which seems silly until you imagine how annoying it is when you are mad at a friend and they treat you normally!Less than £6 now and I think I will buy a couple of copies to keep for future gifts. It is a lovely little hardback little bigger than the old style Beatrix Potter books.I think most people who read it will think it is £6 well-spent.Read it with a child for maximum benefit. Friendship is a difficult thing to explain, this book helps.If you have ever had your heart broken by watching your child feeling that their friend no longer likes them, give it a try.
