Doesn't get better than this one
I ALWAYS read reviews on Amazon before I purchase anything. I ALWAYS skip to the lowest reviews first. If I want to know whats wrong with a product I can't rely on the people that have nothing bad to say about something. I realize that since I rated this so high ...Anyone that has the same reviewing process as I do will never read this, so I decided to address the issues I read other people had with this case.First off I have to say that most bad reviews for a product are usually due to customer error (stupidity). "I didn't like this game because I bought it for the PS3 and I own an xbox" (that was a real review)... "I hated this product because the shipping took too long" (shipping options have NOTHING to do with the product itself) etc etc etc.I have to say that this product warranted the most bizarre complaints I have ever seen.1. "the product smelled so bad I got headaches." I read several people with this complaint. Risking that my nose was not as delicate as the unfortunate headache sufferers that bought this case... I went ahead and purchased it. When it arrived I actually held the package out as far as I could while I opened it. I was expecting this mushroom cloud of stink to puff out the MOMENT I broke the seal... Nope. Nothing. I slowly brought it to my nose. It smelled exactly like a fresh brand new vinyl case... No more, no less than every other brand new vinyl bag I have ever encountered. I have owned this case for two days...Now it does not have any noticeable scent unless I hold it directly to my nostrils...And even then it is slight. I can't for the life of me figure out what these scent headache sufferers are talking about.2. "It is so tight I couldn't remove my Kindle fire from the case once it was in." This again had me confused. I thought, "Don't people WANT a secure tight case to protect their Kindle Fire?" I know I do. So when I snapped my Kindle Fire into the case (quite easily mind you)...I then held the case by its sides and held it upside down. The Kindle didn't budge. This pleased me to no end. I buy cases so that I can be carefree with holding a product without worry that it will fail and allow my Kindle Fire to fall or become dislodged. This product is perfect. So then I decided that in the future if I need to remove my Fire at a moments notice for some strange reason I don't have the time or energy to think up...Will I be able to? So I gently grasped the top two prongs and pulled up on them. LOW AND BEHOLD THE LAWS OF SIMPLE PHYSICS DID NOT FAIL ME! The Kindle popped right out of it's secure perch and into my waiting hands. Thank you basic motor skills for allowing me to do a task that surprisingly some people can't seem to manage!3. "The zipper broke" Not sure on this one...Like I said it is only two days old...Jury is still out on zipper durability.4. "I couldn't figure out how to hold it properly." Again... You simply fold over the flap and slide your hand into the convenient flap and use your opposable thumb to grasp your encased Kindle Fire. I encourage all people that cannot figure out how to grasp the Kindle with this case properly to buy as many books as possible with their Fire. The amount of basic knowledge they desperately need if they can't figure out how to hold an item... is staggering. What I do like:I love how well this case fits the Fire. It is light, secure and safe. I love that you can close it up so that debris and dust can't gunk it up. So many cases for ebooks do not close. They can be cinched shut, clasped, folded close etc...But this one actually zips up and protects the Fire. I often have to shove items in a book bag and it is good to know that no other debris shuffling around in there will collect in the creases of a folded case.It is comfortable to hold. I tend to hold it open like a book while I read. On several occasions I have simply folded it over and grasped it (as the video for the product shows) and found that just as comfortable. It is well constructed and durable. I like the look of it and the functionality. The front pocket is too tight to hold anything but a few credit cards...But I wouldn't store credit cards in there anyway. I am currently holding a wipe cloth in there for the Kindle's screen...And getting that in and out is a pain...But then again...Basic motor skills and patience win that fight every time.

Not as good as the first time
Purchased from this brand over 9 years ago. The edge did not start to peel until years later. Probably like 2 years ago. This one is not even a year in and is peeling very badly.Looking into another brand for cover # 3.

This is the best case available at the best price !
I get the Kindle Fire on the day of release as promised. It is rugged but I needed a case because I found it hard to hold it and read in bed particularly. I had to order the form fitting Polycarbonate case and then cancel that order. Amazon had that case strangely back ordered for 15 days or so (I did read some unresonable reviews but I needed some case to be even able to use the Kindle Fire!). Here is the most important reason you want to buy this :- This case reverses and the elastic palm pouch is a great way to hold it with the zipper being reversed once the case is folded back on itself. I could read and use my kindle Fire with out any problem and holding it became a breeze. The other Marware cases that I had my friend order has much to be desired. The leather case that they sell is too heavy though nicer(what is the point of having such extra form factor on a compact kindle !). This is the best case since it seems water proof and perhaps will give some decent protection to the fire.I must say that the Fire is very sleek but a bit heavy to hold up and very slippery. I have an IPAD and I cannot really read in bed or in other positions unless I am placing it on a table or my lap with a stand. Well with a kindle and a good case like this you can read !. Not possible with an IPAD (The IPAD is great otherwise but I think they will co-exist at least for me for diffrent reasons !). Kudos Amazon !

Terrific Cover! Everything I expected and more!
I received the Kindle Fire as an early Christmas present. As soon as the covers were available, I ordered this cover made by Marware. The clips are very tight and firm. I was glad I'd read other reviews that said the reviewer used a little more force to get their Kindle Fire into the clips. That's what I did and I've never had a problem with slippage. It is very secure! I liked the idea of having a zipper close which would keep my Kindle Fire cleaner when I travel, or just around the house with the many animals I have that shed. I was right! The zipper is sturdy, closes and opens easily, and keeps the screen very clean. The inside of the cover is a soft suede-like material and when I fold the cover back, it adheres slightly to the chair arm or my pants leg when I prop it there while reading. Also, and this is a very nice feature, there is a band of this same suede-like material that I can slip my hand through which enables me to hold the Kindle Fire easily without fear of losing my grip and dropping it. There is a tiny zippered pocket on the outside which is a bit too tight to be useful for a credit card or keys as advertised, but I wouldn't use it that way anyway. I am able to clip a pen-like stylus into the pocket which I use most of the time instead of my finger, which will protect the screen longer from oils from my hand. (No, the stylus doesn't come with the Kindle Fire or the cover!) So, I would give this product an AA++!

Marware Jurni Kindle Fire Cover in Blue
Fab product, lovely colour, and good price as I got it when it was reduced! My Kindle clips into the cover which seems very secure and I think it is a far better way to keep it safe then some of the other covers which use elastic, which I am sure will stretch over time. The cover also has a neat little zipped pocket for keeping small items in, so very handy too.
