Protects hands but arm holes are small if you have shirt sleeves on (and we are not large people). Fits great without sleeves so we'll use it for grilling out or push up our sleeves.

Gloves are okay. If you have bigger wrists then your arms won't fit down in the mits and you can't stretch them so you have to roll them up in order to use them.

if u have large hands the gloves barely or won't fit and the square silicone pads are too small to maneuver around a baking dish.
