Gibson Elite Cafe Versailles Teal Blue 16-Piece Dinnerware Set (Service for 4)

I shopped for weeks to find something that would not break easy and was microwave and dishwasher safe -yet still look classy. These are really nice and I do love them. The bowls are a good size, with bowl sizes perfect for cereal or salsa. The plates have a slight lip on them to keep items from sliding off. The smaller plates are larger than saucers and are a great size for lunch and breakfast. The plates are large enough to hold a cake. The pattern is textured and slightly raised, and very colorful. It is a little hard to see the colors in the photo, but the bands are deep blue, teal green and dark brown. The bottom of the bowls are dark brown. The inside of the bowls and the plate have speckles like "scatter paint" and the effect is beautiful and gives them appearance of being aged. The bottom of the plates and bowls expose the stoneware underneath for a nice effect.I am very happy with this purchase and have already purchased another set so that I have a full 8 piece setting.

When I first got the dishes I was a little disappointed with them. Then I started tp use them and I was delighted. The dinner plates are large, at first I was afraid that they wouldn't fit in my microwave. But fit they did. I love the colors. The soup bowls are a perfect size, and I am so glad that they came with small desert bowls that are almost a perfect size to drink tea. I am happy that the set came with two bowls instead of cups and bowls. I used one of the small plates this morning. They are a perfect size to hold my bagel and cream cheese. The plates are flatter than those of my old set. Any how I apologize for my first comments. This dish set is first rate.

We bought the set about a year ago. a couple of the plates have chipped pretty easily and our children have broken two pieces but that is not the fault of the product. Overall they are pretty nice for the price and we are going to order another set so we have extras. Cheaper than buying a entirely new set.

Purchased 2 sets. Came quickly. Haven't used yet as they just came today. They do feel durable and a bit heavy although I like them that way.There are several pieces out of both sets that have what I call imperfections. Some of the colors bleed a bit onto surrounding colors. Like overspray. Definitely NOT something that would deter me from purchasing again though. Almost as if they were hand made and not manufactured in bulk.Pictures don't do them justice as I wasn't 100% sold when I ordered but they are beautiful in person.They are in the dishwasher now so hoping they hold up as advertised!

These came quickly; were packaged very well, and are beautiful! The colors are as shown in photograph.The small bowls are REALLY small. They could perhaps be used for sauces or condiments. The larger bowl is perfect for a soup bowl or small salad bowl. I typically do a BIG salad so I'm going to special order a couple to accommodate something larger. But I'm not at all unhappy with this purchase. Just beautiful.

I like the weight, dimensons and durability. Having two sizes of bowls is more usable for us than mugs, cups or saucers. The pattern wasn't one of my favorites but it ended up being a great compromise for what the family thought we should and shouldn't have. Overtime, I have come to like the pattern & color combination more than when we first got the set. We use the dishes everyday and they get cleaned in the dishwasher. My only complaint is that they get hot if they are microwaved for over a minute.

My husband and I likes that this set didn't have mugs so we ordered two sets. Upon getting them, we decided to order a third set so we would have a place setting of 12. The only thing we had hoped was that the desert bowl was slightly bigger. They are perfect sized for things like mixed nuts and maybe two scoops of ice cream.

I had my eye on these for a long time and finally purchased. I love them. They have a good weight to them and have had no problems in 2 months use and dishwashing. I live that there are 2 bowels instead of cups I would never useI get lots of compliments. I bought a second set
