Will it detect Platinum?

Yes, a metal detector will detect all metals... gold, silver, copper, aluminum, etc.

Having trouble… while snorkeling the unit keeps beeping nonstop when it’s 3 ft underwater. Can’t figure out how to get it to work right.

You have to calibrate it before you start metal detecting. When you calibrate you can select the sensitiveness. Make sure you calibrate without anything metal nearby. Also: when you are underwater, once in a while hold it against your gold ring for instance. Because, if the detector hasn't detected anything for a while it will start beeping, for in case you lost it.

Does this product come with an extension handle to make it longer so you don't have to bend over while in shallow water?

No, Nokta does not currently make an extension handle for the PulseDive. But… that’s a great idea. I use the PulseDive often, and I’ve thought about the same thing.

How deep can it detect objects underground

This can be used in up to 200 ft of water, and can detect up to 8-10 inches under the surface depending on the ground and sensitive you have set on the unit. There are 5 sensitive settings. If you are in a sandy bottom you could go this deep, but if you are in a stone or rocky bottom, then it could detect less.

Excellent recreational diving detector. Vibration or beeping, it’s a magnet for goodies! Love it, dive deep or shallow, it will find gold and silver! Packable in suitcase, light for travel! I have 2 now. Great hobby toy!

Great For Gold 10k to 22k

The product seems to be very yellow. Witch makes it hard to miss in sunlight. Battery like is pretty good as well. Vibration is very good indicator for finding you're treasure. All in all, definitely the largest an most effective way to finding under water treasure.
