Calligraphy 101: Calligraphy Writing for Beginners Paperback – October 22, 2015

This is a nice reference for beginners. There is quite a bit of good information. I would have given it higher stars if it had more visual instruction. There was only one alphabet stroke reference.

So disappointed with this book that I spent money on. I thought this book by it's chapter outline would have had examples of the lettering and since it is titled "Calligraphy 101" would have at least had examples of the alphabet! I bought this to go along with calligraphy pens for my niece. If she wants to know anything about the history of calligraphy, she can easily search google! Now, I am forced to buy something else that she will help her actually learn calligraphy. This book was a ripoff and disappointed in Amazon for not showing more of the inside pages, I thought it was very misleading!

This is a $1.50 book masquerading as a $10 book. Just a tiny book with a tiny message. Buy a better calligraphy book. There are plenty of them out there. Read the review by AILOPP. It describes the book perfectly. They didn't even get word spacing in the book correct! ... hahaha

This book is in my opinion, not worth the paper it is written on. A complete waste of money. It is all just typewritten words. I bought the book to give to my daughter for Christmas, along with some calligraphy pens. There are no diagrams on how to start, how to develop the different strokes of the pen, what shapes to make, how to form each letter. So she did not know how to start.

Tells me about it but does not show me how to write it.

I am sorry to say it, but this book is worthless. There are only 39 pages, and no illustrations at all. It is badly and carelessly written.To the author I say - please get somebody to read and criticize your stuff before publishing.
