VTL3 x 40L Growmoor Plant Care Compost Basket Soil Pot Garden Borders Multi Purpose

I have purchased this now twice. Easy to pick up as I am76 . Great quality.

The 3 bags of compost were very heavy and a middle aged woman would really struggle. Getting them delivered made it a a lot easier and my flowers look a lot happier and healthier.

I chose to buy compost online as it is very convenient having it delivered right to my door. I specifically chose to buy it in 40 litre bags as I can manage to lift this size of bag without help. I cannot manage to lift bags any bigger than this single-handedly. I probably paid a little more for the compost than I would have for a large bag but it was worth it for the sheer convenience. The compost was good quality, definitely better than many other brands that I have used. I have now bought this compost twice and I will buy it again. Recommended.

As an all purpose compost the last batch was far too dry and contained way too much sand-like matter. I bought a batch last year and was happy with the quality but this year the compost was way too dry so had to add plenty of vermiculite to the mix to hold moisture because on its own even mini degradable starter pots dried out completely within 24hrs so lost a lot of delicate seedlings, whilst using a professional propogator too.Wouldn't risk using the same brand again for starting off or for hanging baskets in case same problem arose.OK for scattering around pre-existing beds or anything that needs a sandy mix but no good for propogation or moisture hungry plants.Quality was very dissapointing. Would stick to Miracle-Gro if purchasing online in future!

This seems a nice compost and definitely a great deal pricewise.However, on purchasing 3 lots of this compost, I lost a lot of seeds and small plants due to a green fungal moss that formed on the top of all pots. More hardy plants managed to survive it but so many did not.Obviously not sterilized sufficiently. I will not be purchasing it again I'm afraid.
