Believe the reviews..!
Worst quality ever.. ink container broke. Don’t trust jinhao brand. Forget the fancy names and replica of Lamy Safari, at least pen should write! I wish there was a 0 star rating

An amazing pen with a good build basing off the Lamy Safari (except the nib)
This pen is the second one I got from jinhao after the plethora of Parker pens I owned and this pen is just awesome.Lemme guide you through the pros and consPros:An amazing build which is based off the lamy safari although they changed the nib for whatever reason to which we’ll get to laterThe cap is made of brass and the barrel is made of aluminium and the section is made of plastic excluding the nib which is obviously metal I guess it’s steel. The wire clip used here is of really good qualityIf you find the closing mechanism loose or u want to disassemble the pen for whatever reasons you can unscrew with the screw inside the deep end of the cap which is a good touch for almost all of jinhao pens. The ink flow is really good considering it’s an extra fine nib, the paper scratch feedback isn’t as much as you’d get from regular extra fine nibs.It has a good gripping section. It’s moderately heavy than what you’d expect since the whole pen is metal. Keeping that in mind, the pen is versatile and can write for as longer as you like. Now on to the cons:The nib is the only downside to this pen personallyThe nib says it writes with a fine nib’s width but it actually doesn’t.The problem here is that jinhao is misleading with this nib I believed that the width could be of a fine nib but it turned out otherwiseIf you want to change this nib you can by buying any 5.5 number nib from pen stores or here at Amazon.Considering the fact that the nib is pretty much replaceable with any nib you can find in the market(but number 5.5 only) is just a really good point considering you’re just spending 300 or so rupees. Jinhao could’ve been a bit careful for the nib width they’re promising but it’s okay I’m probably just nitpicking right now.😅😅Anyways I have compared to an actual fine nib powered jinhao 35 which writes so well compared to the jinhao 599 alstar but hey, that’s how extra fine nibs are supposed to write and jinhao did an amazing job at it. If you really want a fine nib writing experience again I’d suggest you to buy NUMBER 5.5 NIBS. I can write more about such nibs but I’ll let you to search on your own as writing this review takes a lot time 😅Anyways you can have a look at the picture for comparison and those pens excel at their own writing experiences.Well that is allI rate this pen a 10 on 10 you cannot expect more for a pen at this price. Probably push your budget by 100 rupees and buy the jinhao 35 which has a definite lamy styled nib and you can also replace that nib with a genuine lamy nib if ur even into that .In the case of jinhao 599, I’d recommend a kanwrite nib with the size of 5.5, you can find a fine, medium, broad, flex etc. which delivers an exquisite writing experience just like the jinhao pens for very less price.Happy writing ✍️

Really nice pen at this price use it thoroughly before you decide.
I am taking back my wow reviews after it failed to survive a 2 feet fall. It just broke in to 2 halves from below the grip section where it screws in to the body technically theres no way it can be reused not even the converter nib or the cap or body. I liked this pen but now i just lost it for a simple fall when it was capped. 300 on a toss my platinum preppy have survived the fall many times. This one just cant and its very disappointin.

INK FILLING MECHANISM
though the nib is great and so is the tripod grip but the ink suction mechanism failed instantly. plus hard to replace the cartridge. For ₹300 one should get atleast a pair of spare nibs and cartridges .
