It really works!
I am a full time chef and have been in kitchens for 27 years. As much as I love still being involved in all elements of kitchens, my hands however donโt. Years and years of washing and having my hands immersed in water, detergents, sanitiser, etcโฆ my skin tears easily. My wife found gloves in a bottle for me and what made it better and different from the rest is it is water resistant. The fact that you donโt have to reapply after washing hands makes it the perfect product for anyone that has wet hands throughout their day without the inconvenience and expense of having to put on after every wash.

A good product for dry winter chapped hands.
I purchased this item at the same time as the Trader Joe's Ultra Moisturizing Hand Cream.( the one in a 3oz aluminum tube)Comparing these two:This product, gloves in a bottle, is closer to a lotion consistency, but does provide soft hands, and it will hold up to a quick hand washing. If you really scrub your hands for a "happy birthday" handwash, you'll likely need to reapply. I like the way it makes my hands feel. It absorbs into my skin well and rather quickly. A very light scent. Nearly scentless, it should not conflict with any other fragrances you may wear. The Trader Joe's hand cream is thicker, definitely a cream. I love the way it feels on my skin and how well it moisturizes my cuticles. I had really dry damaged and cracked cubicles becore, and this cream really sticks with me. It goes on very velvety, and absorbs quickly. There is no greasey feeling, but it sticks through a hand wash a little better that the one above. It lasts better if you need a hand cream to use before you fall asleep, in my opinion. I think the metallic tube is Very retro cool looking, but it can be hard to dispense the cream. It seems it will be more difficult once you start to get to the end. We shall see.My Winter dry skin is battled well by both. My hands and cubicles are in much better shape because of these products.

My Favorite Hand Lotion; Very Effective!!!!
The cuticles around my fingernails are dry, rough and in winter, they crack and sometimes bleed. I pick at them. My hands sort of ache. I've tried all kinds of creams and lotions that haven't helped. One day I saw a big poster in a pharmacy for Gloves In A Bottle. The description looked promising. I ordered a sample size and after using it, decided to buy more. This lotion really works for me! As it is a lotion, not cream, it absorbs into the skin rather than just lay on top. I squeeze a small, plump dot on my fingers and glide it all over my hands. It soothes them so they don't ache. I rarely have open sore spots around my fingers any more. I love that the lotion stays on even after washing my hands, so I only have to apply it once or twice a day. The lotion barely has any scent; that's so important to me because I get headaches with most scented products.I tried a tube of O'Keefe's Working Hands cream since it also has good reviews. It didn't compare to Gloves In A Bottle. It felt more like a Vaseline type product, thicker and used up more quickly with far less satisfying results. So I'm sticking with Gloves In A Bottle! My husband loves this, too, so I bought us both our own tube. I find the product to be a little pricy, but it works magic on my hands, so I'm willing to pay for it.

Fascinatingly lightweight protection for hands -- great stuff!
I have been using this Gloves in a Bottle lotion at home and at work for a few weeks now, and it has been working very well for my needs. I do not have eczema or psoriasis -- I am simply trying to protect my hands from the general dryness and irritation that can occur with winter weather and frequent hand-washing, and I can tell that this lotion has done just that. The formula is pretty fascinating -- after about a minute, it totally sinks in and leaves no noticeable residue at all, but you can still somehow feel that layer of protection. I also really appreciate that it is totally fragrance-free, as I personally find most scented lotions to be rather cloying, and I think the lack of fragrance makes this product useable for most anyone. I am glad that I heard about this lotion and picked it up, and I am looking forward to continuing to use it for the foreseeable future!

Prevent finger cracks by using this!
I was actually looking for a liquid bandage to use on my fingers when they crack by the sides. The one I used before changed their formulation so I decided not to purchase but one review mentioned this product so after reading the reviews, I decided to try it on the Subscribe and Save program. This does seem to be better used to prevent your skin from cracking rather than used after that has occurred. I also didn't realize until reading the reviews that using the soaps provided in public restrooms would be that detrimental to one's skin. I have only used it for three days but the fine cracks and dryness on the tips and sides of my fingers is gone. I apply a small amount after I wash my hands in the morning, another at mid-day and then after I bathe in the evening. I am going to give the second tube to my daughter so she can keep it at work. Next month, I will give her another tube to use at home as I have noticed that my grandson started having hang nails which are probably from the hand soap used at his preschool.
