I wired this into my two bander more or less permanently and the first thing I found with it was my antenna was malfunctioning with a very high VSWR. It presents the frequency, power level, VSWR and return loss all at once on its diminutive screen. I needed my reading glasses to see it clearly but I'm old so I wouldn't have had a problem with it as a youngster with 20/15 vision in both eyes. Those days ,alas, are long gone. I will leave it hardwired in so I can check on things as I am using the radio. It has type N RF coaxial connectors but comes with two Type N to Type UHF adapters and a charger. It can run for a while on its internal battery but I haven't run it long enough to know how long it'll run that way. This would be a great item to carry in the field so you could check your radios condition out in the wild. The case is black anodized aluminum which likely serves as a heatsink as well as a shielded container. It can handle up to 120 watts which is more than twice what my radio can deliver so I do not worry about burning it up.

I'm actually impressed! I wasn't expecting much from such an inexpensive meter, but after checking it against three others I've trusted for decades, it has proven to be accurate. The battery arrived charged too and seems to last a long time. I used it to compare the other 3 meters, about half dozen portable antennas, two new uhf yagi antennas and a dual band vertical. I've got several dual band mobile antennas that I need to tune tomorrow. Now that I know that I can trust this little meter, I'll put it my tool pouch so it's with me in the field. I even went back & bought a similar model for HF. I'm going to ask my son to make leather storage pouches for them so they don't get beat up in the field. Great little meter! I'd buy it again.

Older users with eyesight problems should AVOID this meter. I'm not sure about how accurate it is but it does give you a standard by which to make other tests. Surecom makes another meter for HF only that would be AMAZING if they had a version for VHF/UHF and withstood 200w in testing. THAT meter has a VERY EASY TO READ screen. Just need to make THAT version for VHF/UHF. Surecom also makes two versions of the same hard to read screen variety, one with VHF (SO-239 connectors) which I purchased and am using and they make this one with UHF (N-female) connectors. This one of course comes with the connectors but why introduce more signal loss if not necessary. I'm still giving this BRAND model 4 stars because it's affordable, portable, and it did come with the necessary connectors if you're using 239/259 connectors. Just asking Surecom to get with program and give us this size screen with the PAPERWHITE wannabe screen of their HF meter. Then you get 5 stars KC5RET

As you can see by the photo, without this meter I would have lost all my handheld radios. I purchased some antennas from another website I won't mention here. Let's put it this way... I "WISH" I had not purchased those antennas. However, after testing them on this handy little meter, I quickly discovered without this meter I would have toasted everyone of my radios. The meter is simple to use, and it's very accurate. I would highly recommend it for both new radio owners, as well as the professional radio operator. The meter is well boxed with room for your spare connectors. The instructions are clear and easy to read with a good size font. The battery has a long life and is simple to charge with the included charger and charging cable. The included ground plane makes it a snap to test your handheld radios. It's also great for testing base antennas, mobile antennas, etc.. Without a doubt, this meter saved me a ton of money and is a great value for the price. I would like to thank the seller for saving my radios from total destruction.

So far so good! I charged it up and ran some tests with a DB Products 50 watt dummy load as well as a few antennas, what it reads with the dummy load matches its specs as reference, and although it tends to display 0.001~0.002-/+ on the frequency counter, adjusting it in the menu gets it close/corrected, and since the value changed based on the radio I was using its probably somewhat to blame on the equipment input and not the wholly the measuring device here. Its simple to use, feels sturdy, does what I want it to do, seems reasonably accurate, and the price is agreeable in comparison to the alternatives that are harder to get a precise reading 'snapshot' from anyways. A note, I thought the pictured adapters were N to PL-259(UHF), but NOPE, it comes with N to SO-239 which just seems so much less common to me... I don't know why nothing is mentioned about the included adapters, but I'm sure most people will look at the picture and assume they're getting N to 259. Anyways, I'll attach two pictures of actual readings I got using this unit from a TYT UV-8000E and Diamond SRH77CA to give you an idea of what to expect when you use it. Its nice that it leaves the last readings up so you have time to make reference without being keyed up.

Works like a charm! I bought my brother one for his two meter station. It’s unambiguous and besides SWR reads the RF power.

今まで使っていたSWR計の調子が悪くなってきたので、安価だったこともあって購入しました。 ピークホールド式で送信出力、反射電力、SWR値、周波数カウンター、送信効率が切り替えなしで１画面で見れます。 またバッテリー内蔵でバックライトも付いているので、車両に設置した無線機のちょっとした測定には便利です。 測定器はN型接栓ですが、M(UHF)型への変換コネクタが2個付いているのもうれしい点です。 高出力の測定時に測定間隔に合わせてバックライトが一瞬暗くなる挙動がでる時がありますが、気にしなければ良いレベルです。 無線機の出力やSWRを測定したいけど、値段がちょっとな〜・・・ という方にはおすすめできると思います。 2020/04/09 追記 このSWR計について検索してみたら、一部のファームウェアバージョンでVSWRの計算式にあるルート（平方根）が抜けているバグがあるらしいです。 今回購入した(2020年1月)個体はファームウェア2.06で、表示されている進行波と反射波から自分で計算しても正規のVSWR値が表示されていました。 ロットによってはバグありが混じってる可能性もありますが、届いた商品はバグなしで安心しました。

Instellen gaat helemaal automatisch waarbij heel overzichtelijk tegelijk de frequentie, het geleverde vermogen en het gereflecteerde vermogen in Watt en percentage alsmede de SWR verhouding in het scherm verschijnt. Kortom, een handig en stevig apparaatje dat is uitgerust met N-connectoren waarbij de verlooppluggen naar pl-259 meegeleverd worden.
