Flash only hurts the picture.
I use a Nikon D5500 for myself. I bought this camera for my 11 year old daughter as her first camera. Overall it seems okay. Navigating is not so intuitive. But the worst part is that only with using the flash, the white balance is thrown completely off to the yellow side. I checked it out in a couple of rooms in my house. Maybe it's the LED lighting, I don't know. Without the flash it seems good so far. Also the flash can't make any effect in a dark room what so ever.I think I'll keep it only out of lack of a better option under $100 having good quality and also being somewhat rugged to bumping around.

Wonderfully delighted
Gave this camera as a gift to our 14 year old granddaughter and she loves it. It worked great under water, took still shots fine, and also video. We bought the bright yellow floating wristband, just in case she dropped it out in the ocean. We even tested it out to make sure it really floats, floated high up in the water and held onto the camera really well. Definitely would recommend buying this camera.

No sounds on videos
Took a bunch of videos in a swimming pool, above water. Got home, transferred the videos to my computer and none of them have any sound. The test video I took before the vacation in my house had sound, and one I took after the vacation in my house has sound. My only assumption is that when the camera is wet it does not record sound on videos, even if the video was taken above water.Other observations:- Outdoor picture quality was actually pretty decent, indoor picture quality is just ok- Outdoor video (image) quality is actually pretty good too- LCD screens are hard to see outside- Fairly long delay from pressing the button until the photo is takenIf it weren't for the lack of sound on my videos, I actually would have been pretty happy with the purchase.

Great camera!
Gave this camera as a gift to my granddaughter. That night she got in the tub and had to use it underwater. I was a bit nervous about that but it worked great. It has a lot of good features. She loves it!

Non-working
We bought in advance of trip and once we arrived we were only able to use one time and then the selection buttons stopped functioning. So sad that many memories we were unable to capture. We bought with time before trip so now returning date has closed and we have a non working camera.
