Wicked Dreams is a decidedly different type of book from S. Massery. She, however, NAILED it!!!!!! This book is everything, I mean everything, you love and hate about high school.Caleb and his friends (Theo, Liam, and Eli) rule Emery-Rose Elite School. They are the Kings of the Lacrosse team, and the students and faculty think they can do no wrong.Margo is essentially the new girl to school. She may have attended elementary with some of these kids (a.k.a. Caleb), but 8 years in the foster care system have taken her many other places. With only 11 months left until she ages out of the system, Margo hopes to fly under the radar for her senior year. Caleb has other plans though.Caleb and Margo have "a past"!!!! Her mom was his family's chef when she was little. That was before everything fell apart. In this book we catch glimpses of what happened that makes Caleb treat Margo the way he does.The way Caleb bullies Margo, and is so possessive of her is in a strange way extremely hot. There is some crazy chemistry there.This book will hook you from the very beginning. Be prepared for a crazy trip back to high school. Book 2 cannot get here soon enough!!!!!

So pissed I can’t see straight. I know how bully books are put together but the ending of this one going into the next book had me fuming. Blaming a ten year old girl for what her parents did. Making her life hell she has endured the foster system. Finally has a family that would adopt her. Acts like he had finally fallen for her only to try and destroy her not only at school but her position with her foster parents will take a lot of explaining for me to see Caleb redeemed

S Massery is a new to me author and damn did she leave an impression. Wicked Dreams is a dark, new adult, high school bully romance romance that had me completely enthralled from the first chapter.Margo’s been in system for quite some time now after one parent was incarcerated and the other has a drug addiction. She’s finally placed with a nice couple, who actually care and have the means to take care of her, and the best part? It’s back in Margo’s home town. Things finally seem to be going well for her until a text message from “unknown” comes through and her visions of a warm welcome are thrown out the window.Enter Caleb. He and his friends rule the school. Star lacrosse players. More money than you can imagine. Good looking. Can do whatever they want and get away with it. Once upon a time, Margo’s family had worked for Caleb’s family and they were best friends. A Cinderella type story if you will, only now Caleb is proving that he is no prince. He’s cruel and angry. And he is out for revenge.This book is dark and angsty, full of mystery and suspense. Betrayal. Revenge. It’s absolutely brilliant. I had a hard time putting this book down. I have so many questions that I NEED answers to. The chemistry between Margo and Caleb is explosive and I am completely captivated by their intense relationship. I cannot wait for their next book after that cliffy. A solid 5 stars for Wicked Dreams.

Wicked Dreams is the first book in The Fallen Royals series. S. Massery did a wonderful job setting up the series and bring it alive from the first page till the very big cliffhanger at the end. Yes, I did say big cliffhanger, it is a series after all and no author wants to leave you with all the answers and mystery gone when writing a series. Margo and Caleb has a lot of history together and their love as children quickly turned to hate when their world turned upside down. S. Massery kept my attention even while going back into the past to give details on what was happening from both Cale’s and Margo ‘s POV. Sometimes if an author does this you can easily lost interest if not done right and S. Massery definitely kept and held my attention. There is so many twists, turns, and things going sideways. Wicked Dreams definitely was not boring or predictable. Wicked Dreams will leave you with your emotions in a whirlwind of tangled emotions. Not to mention, the heat between Caleb and Margo is 💥🔥. Just when you think you have got a lock on them something will change. There is so much I want to say but then again I don’t want to ruin the book for anyone. I can’t recommend Wicked Dreams enough.The narrators did a wonderful job. They both brought the book to life and you could visualize the events and feel what S. Massery wanted readers to feel. The speed worked very well for Wicked Dreams. With most devices you can change it but I found the default to be perfect.Enjoy reading/listening all about Caleb and Margo and be prepared for the cliffhanger at the end.

I enjoyed this series and have finished all three books. My reason for deducting the last star is that I really hate it when the FC is so weak and turns to mush as soon as the MC touches her. Or even looks at her.The story line was very good and the characters believable.

I started out reading this book on Kindle Unlimited, but it was so good I had to add it to my permanent library. Margo is such a strong young woman, having to deal with all the negative memories of the other students who knew her past, their rudeness and bullying, on top of dealing with adjusting to yet another foster home. It's fascinating to watch her begin to grow from a scared girl into a strong woman. There is mystery, suspense, and plot twists to keep you enthralled, and a cliffhanger ending!

This book follows foster kid Margo who is in a new home in the town she grew up in with her parents. She runs into the boy she used to love and played with, Caleb, but he's no longer the boy she used to know. This Caleb is cold and cruel to her. Add in some questionable ex best friends and Margo starts school with plenty of enemies. Caleb sees Margo as his prey and wants to destroy her for mysterious reasons related to his past. Caleb is an anti hero and impossible to really pin down how he truly feels. This book has so much push and pull combined with multiple mysteries and plenty of heat. In a subgenre where some bully romances can feel similar to others, wicked dreams stands out

This book is insane!!There is so much craziness going on that I don’t even know where to start but what I will tell you is that you will be on the edge of your seat throughout!! There is angst, betrayal, mystery, revenge, emotion, friendship and lots of steam within this book and it will have you tied up in knots!If you like dark, bully romance this is A MUST READ!!🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Omg, more now and I mean now. This is like 0 to 60 in zero seconds. There is no warning this is a bully romance with no filter the hits are spectacular the people are of a different world and then there's Margo who's dealt with hate and hardship and now she was back and Caleb would make her rue the day she left. Love, love, loved it.

Drama, drama and I think we’ve only scratched the surface! This was an enjoyable read. Dark in places and a bit confusing but good.

Could not put this book down, starting book 2 ASAP can’t waitDeffo a good read would recommend this saga

Oh my gosh!! What did I listen to?? This is my first S Massery book. It was absolutely amazing!!!Life for Margo has been less than stellar. After a delightful childhood playing with the boy next door, her dream life comes crashing down. Years late and things seem to be turning around. Not as fantastic as her childhood but there is the potential for things to be better than they had been. But not everyone is so happy to see Margo again and they question why she is back. Backstabbing and bulling become Margo's norm but there are some positives. However, everything is not as it seems and the cliff hanger at the end of the book.ARGH, that ending!!! Don't know if I should go and read the next book or wait to hear book 2 in audio. All I know is I need more!!! A phenomenal dark bully romance!
