Ontario Rat II Linerlock D2 ON8830 (Black)

Got my first one year ago and have bought more than 10 since. Rats and Rat2s make great gifts, which is why I've bought so many. Ontario really puts function forward.It's thin, light, and a very good EDC.Pro tip, move the belt clip so that you can easily flip it open based off your dominant hand.

After seeing so many recommendations on the R2D2, I had to get one for myself. I enjoy the all-black consistent colour, texturing of the scales, and overall geometry. The price might have gone up a bit due to its popularity, but, I still find the value quite decent. It still remains at a lower price than my other D2 steel knives, yet, ergonomic while maintaining a good aesthetic. Fairly light and compact should be comfortable to carry in the pocket. Lockup of the one I received is about 60%, which I heard is acceptable for this price point.However, it doesn't have a smooth action of knives from higher price points. It can still be deployed slowly with your thumb. It can also be flicked open, though requires a bit of practice as the blade relies primarily on the flicking momentum you provide rather than the initial force you provide with your thumb. You will learn it rather quickly though.In conclusion, a very value friendly tool knife with decent steel and ergonomics. Not as "fidgety". A good knife for EDC to do everyday tasks.

Tiene un tamaño compacto ideal para llevar en tu EDC. Es muy cómoda al portará en el bolsillo del pantalón. Tiene una muy buena retención del filo (Nota: traía un excelente filo de fábrica), es relativamente sencillo darle mantenimiento (teniendo las herramientas adecuadas).

Sweet knife , wish it was made in usa, i would pay $100 if so . Stripped blade and pocket clip , wet sanded the Taiwan stamp and its almost gone, may sand further and/or force a patina, looks much better and allows me to live in denial , i left the other billboarding as is. centering is off but not bad , razor sharp out of box , grind is nice and even . Very sweet knife, Great action , light weight, bought for my travel knife so i can carry in all states and cheap enough to replace if lost or stolen. Pic compared to Buck 112 , pm2 and esee izula.
