Who Thinks Up These Things?
Not sure what other people are doing who negatively reviewed this product, because it does exactly what it says it’s supposed to do. Is it comfortable? Not sure. But, is it supposed to be comfy like a slipper? I don’t think so. I was just diagnosed with plantar fasciitis and the link to this item was literally left in my email by my doctor for this particular sling (she should get a kickback). Very easy to operate. My suggestion would be to make sure your toes are comfy before you secure the ankle strap. And the piece that pulls your toes and ankle up is pretty self-explanatory, and does the trick. I read reviews, I looked at the size chart, and I decided to go with kind of a combination. I have a size 9 foot, but I have a 9 inch ankle and went with the small. I think the medium would have worked as well, but I am comfortable and secure with this one. I’ve only used it one night, and I did take it off halfway through the night because there is an adjustment to this feeling. I have to say that this morning my heel wasn’t as bad as it typically is when I get out of bed. I don’t really have a comparison to value because I’ve never purchased any kind of equipment remotely like this but since I didn’t have to take a loan, I guess the price is good and it seemed to be comparable with the rest of these slings listed on Amazon. And at the end of the day if this helps and I can stand which I have to do for my career all day in comfort, I will pretty much pay whatever and go through whatever kind of crazy contraptions my doctor advises. It is well made. I didn’t need instructions to figure it out. I did watch the original video shown with the listing.

I’m on the fence.
Idk about this thing. Makes lots of noise with the Velcro. It also made my big toe hurt front the hard piece that leans up against it. I would have to remove it in the night. It did keep my foot stretch however. Plantar fasciitis fighter.

Changed my perspective on this brace.
Plantar Fasciitis is exhausting. Spare you all the things I tried the last few months while the pain, irritability, and weight increase. I only have in one foot and it’s from heel through arch. My heel feels like I have a nail through it…as does my arch after being on my foot long. I’m limping and walking 10 yards. I think I got it from some Teva sandals that were helping my bunions but when I reordered same Tevas, one of them seemed irregular in arch. The good news is the plantar fasciitis was so bad for so long, even with all the stretching routines and research, that my bunions are not a factor at all because I CANT WALK!At first, I was disappointed, in this sock, feeling I ordered the wrong size ( WAY TOO Big) and not sure I wanted to get involved w another size or bothering to return, I’m am 8 1/2 W womens and ordered a medium. It was huge. I tried to rig it to work better lots of ways. Sigh. I had a little success, nothing major, and not sure I could duplicate anything I’d done consistently.THEN ( drum roll):1) I used big fat wool socks I had on anyway because it was freezing. This helped take up excess space.2) I increased flexion, while still benefiting from the toe stretch by Cutting a long ( ?4 + plus inches )wedge from a foam pool noodle. The object was to increase Doris flexion by raising my toes more. I placed tall end of the wedge under my toes and the skinny end toward my arch creating more of a “ negative heel” like an original earth shoe concept.3)I placed the foam wedge between my wool sock and this sock ( to be perfectly clear) and pushing in around until I got it exactly where it needed to be.4) I walked around home in it all evening..for hours, cooking etc. I also left it on for a couple hours while reclining in bed. It relieved all the discomfort and helped so much the next day as well. I was able to walk a half mile outside the next day. This is still new to me, but I’ve gone from appreciating the design concept, but feeling it needed serious tweaking to be helpful to really benefiting from it a lot. Obviously, I am not using it exactly as intended, but as I’m using it, I appreciate that it’s a soft material that provided me the flexibility I needed to tweak it myself.Surprisingly, This product has turned into quite a good value for me…actually a great value. I might cancel my podiatry appt next week . Jury is still out on the latter.Whatever you do to try to mend your PF, Godspeed! Life is just already challenging without stuff like PLantar Fasciitis!

Worthless
Pros: Great idea, but poorly designed and implementedAppears to be well constructed in terms of stitching and materialCons: Bad implementationBad sizingWon’t stay on your footObviously not testedI did reach out to the seller/manufacturer first. Their response was basically “meh”.First of all it doesn’t fit. The sock part that your foot goes into is fine but the ankle strap is way too long. For a “medium” the minimum ankle circumference the strap will fit is 10 inches and my ankle at that point is 9 inches. So when I put it on I cannot get the ankle strap snug enough to hold the sock properly on my foot. The sizing chart indicates the largest ankle size that the strap will fit, but not the smallest. Second issue is the tension strap; the strap that pulls on your toe; which again is way too long relative to the sock. Even using the strap in the “extra tension” mode the strap still attached at the end of the Velcro. Then there is the sock itself. The inside is the same ultra-smooth nylon as the outside. There is nothing to keep the sock from sliding off your foot. Pulling in the tension strap pulls on the toe of the sock which pulls the entire sock off your foot; IF you pull on the strap to the point it is applying tension; but at that point there is no way to attach the strap. I’m quite sure this would not stay on a person’s foot through a night of sleep and one wouldn’t get a good nights sleep because they would be waking up throughout the night to put it back on.Maybe a size “Small” would work better for me, I don’t know, but as I said the manufacture was really not helpful.I was really hopeful about this product, but it is horribly designed and the manufacturer is no help about what to do. Maybe the factory simply didn’t grasp what the designer was trying to accomplish. Either way I’ll look elsewhere.
