Five stars for the quality for the price. Bright enough and good quality image to see what you're doing. No more wondering what's still inside the ear canal or being completely unaware (as in my case) that your entire ear drum is blocked by hard wax. I bought this otoscope because it was a great deal, so I thought why not. Now I don't want to be without one going forward! Our kids would be told by their pediatricians that they had wax build up and we would go through long sessions and repeat visits trying to have them remove, then soften the wax. I thought about getting a basic lighted otoscope but I saw this while browsing for one. This tool allows me to see exactly where I am in the ear canal and what I'm attempting to do. I discovered one of my own ears was completely blocked and I had no idea! I worked on removing my hard plug of wax by first using with the spoon attached to the scope, then laying down with hydrogen peroxide soaking in my ear canal for about 15 min before going at it again. The ear canal is super sensitive and doesn't like being prodded, but I always felt in control of what I was doing and never felt worried that I was remotely close to hurting my ear drum itself. The instructions are clear and straightforward. You download the app, turn on the power, and join the wireless for the scope itself to connect to the video. You can also use the app to save images and video. I plan to use this for my dog, as well. It's easy to wipe down and clean.

Always had an issue with buildup in my right ear but since I got this I’ve had zero issues. The Bluetooth camera works great, app is easy to use, tool itself feels good in your hand, the little scoop at the end is easy to clean after each use, and at the price you can’t beat it! One use on each ear once every month or so and you’ll never have too much build up ever again. Just be careful and gentle so you don’t damage or irritate your ear drum and surrounding tissue in the ear canal

This is an awesome little device for the price. I have used it to look into my ears and dig out bits of earwax that are stuck. I also used it recently to check out a scab that was on the edge of my ear and hard to see. The device works off of wifi, so you can't use the internet while using the camera. The camera is good enough quality to see in my ears. Using the device for a longer amount of time does cause it to overheat, which is the reason for the missing star. Overall, great for a low price to satisfy my curiosity about what's clogging up my ear

ETA: I really liked this tool, but I cannot find replacement tips for it. I’ve tried two different times and neither of them have fit this device. While I don’t particularly like using the tips, the device can be painful to use without them. The metal of the scope is pretty sharp and hurts my daughter. So, since I don’t have any more of the tips, this device is useless to me. Knocked down from 5-stars to 3-stars due to limited use timespan. I like this gadget. It has a bit of a learning curve, but it’s handy once you figure it out. I found the “scoop” tips to be pretty useless. I found it easier to use the metal scooper (sorry, no idea what they’re actually called) while also using the camera device. Again, a learning curve, but it works for me. Picture quality is good. It gets wonky when the battery is low, but goes back to normal after charging. The device can get warm if used more than a few minutes, but nothing uncomfortable or dangerous. I do wish it worked over Bluetooth instead of Wi-Fi so that you didn’t have to connect it every time you want to use it, but I’m not super tech savvy, so I don’t even know if this is a possibility. I was going to attach a picture for quality evidence, but decided that the picture looked gross. You’re welcome.

This thing is easy to use. The camera is not only super clear quality, it enlarges the view which is great for cleaning, but beware… it’s such a good large image of the inside of your ear that it might freak you out at first to see all the giant-looking ear wax globs and crusties! But you get used to it. This has also helped me see what’s going on in my ears that’s causing inflammation of the ear canals, and I was able to easily capture still images to show to my doctor. Oh… and this has an ear drum detector so you don’t get too close—that makes it feel safe to use. I was also able to use it to see a tiny crack in a tooth that has been bothering me… yes, I cleaned the ear wax off before I put it in my mouth. It made the tiny crack in my tooth look so big that I was scared into going to the dentist… good incentive to actually make a dentist appt. Anyway… love this device… and at such a good price.

Item arrived missing the majority of accessories that were supposed to come camera. The pictures online show the scoop being detached which is why I purchased it because that was suited better for my purposes ( I had purchased this same product 2 yrs prior to take pictures to share with a dr of a family members ear issues and it had accidentally broken so i went back to amazon to purchase from my order again tab. Product is not the same. The metal scoop does not detach and is one piece made from metal and has these thin silicon sleeves that fit on it

I've had chronic ear wax problems all my life and finally thought I'd try one of these phone app endoscopes. This particular one works fantastic! The learning curve is something to consider if you don't like pain. Be sure to reverse the image. And trim the hairs out of your ears first because pushing past the jungle will be daunting. Besides, when you go to withdraw the wax it gets pulled off the spoon and gets hung up in the hairs. But once you get past all that you'll actually begin to enjoy removing the gross crud and even get disappointed when there's no more left to get! I also took the blue boot off the spoon for more precise scraping. Just dip it in alcohol first and be extra careful. I scraped some stuff out that was so old and hard it drew blood. That must be perfectly normal because now I can hear clearly like I haven't in years! Throw away the Q-tips and get one of these! Everybody should have one.
